  1. i think that with less than one years service your son will be able to do anything i'm afraid do you all really want to expend your energy on such an employer; my advice would be to put matters behind you and let your son concentrate on his next job learning to control your emotions is a ket to success in life, your son had a great learning as to the consequences of not doing so...they won...try and use it as a learning experience for his future success
  2. i do think you need to be careful with this one, as it sounds to me (and i'm no expert here at all) that they will now easily supply your CCA request. most of these respond withing 7 days or court letters are there to force a response, they mention £22 is not enough, sounds like their up for negotiation - maybe someone has a good letter for this?
  3. I agree, however it does give you piece of mind and put you in control by sending the CCA letter, that worth a lot more than a £1 to me!!!
  4. normal for these ****, send them a cca letter
  5. most employers do overtime in blocks of 15 minutes i wouldn't imagine you were being pulled for being 5 seconds late, but for persistent small instances of lateness...would it be a big hassle for you to get logged on by 9am...is this really a battle you need to win? (you don't have to win every battle to win the war)
  6. funny this, i once knew a guy from the middle east that said it was agianst the law, and religion, to gain from someone elses misfortune i thought it was a sound moral...things would change if our society if that was the case i certainly feel much more in control
  7. i'm going through something similar with direct line i've sent them the cca letter, they are still contacting me to pay (however they're a bit better behaved than a dca as they have complied with not contacting me by telephone, but not that well behave as they want me to phone to pay - no way jose) their 12 days has passed and the 30 are due up in about 3 weeks, just waiting them to default and i'll send them a firm letter telling them they are breaking the law, therefore goodbye advise you do the same
  8. Ok, you should raise a formal grievance in writing Sounds like they will throw it out, but you should get a formal response in a resonabe amount of time. Most companies have the right of appeal - use it. Exhaust the grivance process as far as it goes for your employer. Once you have done that, and you are satisfied you have substantial evidence - get signed statements from other coleagues - you can then go to IT as long as you have been employed for more than a year. Your solicitor would probably advise about a case for constructive dismissal. Keep a diary of everything relevant, you wants dates, times and specifics of the bullying taking place. If you don't want the face to face meetings, write a letter asking your employer to investigate. I wouls suggest however that you do the meetings, with your own witness taking notes. Your employer is not stupid, when they see you taking these formal steps, they will know you mean business, I'm sure they will nip it into the bud. DO NOT BE SHY - make sure you 'bump into' the most Senior guys in the Hospital - their reputation is on the line if this gets out of hand. DO NOT BE SNEAKY - don't tell al the colleagues, or it looks like your on a hate campaign - keep this open with people you can trust and managers - no one wants and employee who stirs things up - RISE ABOVE IT AND BE 10 TIMES MORE PROFESSIONAL Signed, an experienced manager
  9. Forgot to take my DVD back Got a letter from them yesterday charging me £18! Surely this is excessive - can anyone suggest a good letter I can write to them to ask to pay a more reasonable amount? Surely the fine can't be more than the value of the item itself?
  10. so, is there a letter i can write to stop them harassing?
  11. Despite me writing 2 letters to tell them that I will only deal in writing I have recieved 4 automated message phone calls in the last 2 weeks asking for my wife to phone them. What really p****d me off today was that my wife got one at her work - we have never given them any telephone number let alone a work number What a dirty **** bag rotten trick - these guys are ****. Is there a good letter anyone has to stop this one?
  12. Have sent 2 CCA letters recently to Direct Line on 1st January, by my reckoning they are now in Default? Should they still be contacting me? to Lowell a week ago, but forgot to put the £1 in, when does the 12 days start, from when they get the £1 or the original letter? Should I send DL a letter to tell them they are now in default?
