  1. I have been pursuing a claim since mid 2007, last I heard from my county court was that my case had been stayed until the outcome of the test case. I have read as much as I can about the matter but has anyone got any news on the test case? I recall it being in jan 08, is that true? Can anyone give me an indication as to the chances of success? All opinions gratefully received!!
  2. hi again I am now preparing to submit my court claim. I have filled in the N1 form and printed off 3 copies. I have printed off and included 2 copies of my charges schedule. Is it simply a case of walking into the local county court and handing the pack over with a cheque for the court fees? If not, what do I need to do? I am nervous about the whole thing particularly as I dont want the hassle of natwest closing my account - god forbid that they ask for my personal loan back as well!! As always, your advice is gratefully received!
  3. hi all I am persuing a claim for £856. I have written my first letter asking for full repayment and am about to send my notice before action letter. In the interim, I received £76 more in bank charges. Silly I know! Should I include these additional charges in my notice before action letter? Or should I wait to see if if the matter needs to go to court and then add the new charges to my claim, along with the 8% interest at that stage? Any advice gratefully received!
  4. hi all I have started proceedings to reclaim my bank charges. I will keep you updated and I am sure to need your help! I do have one initial question: Assuming that I am able to reclaim my charges, will the reclaimed funds be deposited into my current account (again, assuming that I still have one!) or will the returned monies be deducted from my Natwest Personal Loan? Any thoughts/similar experiences are greatly appreciated, Thank you.
  5. I have been NatWest customer for 12 years, rarely been charged from memory, certainly no more than a few hundred pounds over the years. However, I have had cashflow problems since Xmas and like Dave, have racked up £300 in fees in 3 months. I logged onto this site for the first time today and have read scary threads about people claiming compound interest and court settlements in the £000's etc Scary stuff. I thought the reclaiming process want really aimed at 'small time' reclaimers like myself!! However, reading Daves story has given me the confidence to get the ball rolling and I have sent my S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) letter this very afternoon!! Thanks dave, hope I am as fortunate as you!!
