Do they have 2 weeks? yes they do, as you said your claim was deemed to be served on the 5th of june, then acknowledged yesterday, this now gives halifax till the 3rd of july to either defend or pay your claim. Good luck Carl

Hi Jo The best thing you can do at the momment is wait. halifax have aknowledged your claim, and now have 28 days from the date it was deemed served, to either defend your claim or pay out. The good news is your claiming from a bank (Halifax) that up until now has taken a stance, that in most cases they would rather settle out of court with the claimant, than justify their penalty charges in a court of law. So there is no need to call the legal department just yet Good luck Carl;)

The best time to call is 9.30am but keep it a secret lol;)

Think that person was me, but my statement may have come accross the wrong way. I was told that the halifax legal department only get involved when there is a dispute with the amount of your claim, or when your claiming over six years. in most other cases, your claim is simply photo copied by them and forwarded on to a customer relations manager who will seek to agree a setlement with the claimant. I was given this information by one of the friendly girls at the legal team. I must of caught her on a good day lol Carl

Your not alone, My claim was deemed to be served on the 21st of may, and I have heard nothing yet, I dont think the may bank holiday has helped the backlog:cry:

In my case yes, I started my claim on the 7th of may, and recieved my letter about my account being transfered to another company (Raphale & sons) today. So do you think I should seek legal advice with regards to my bank transfering my account whilst it's in dispute? Carl
