  1. Hi All, I purchased a laptop in 2002 from PC World and took coverplan with it. I have since had a rather catastrophic accident and as such the laptop is no longer working and has been shipped off to be fixed. I was wondering if anyone has a copy of the terms and conditions for a coverplan that was bought in 2002. The reason I am asking is because I have lost my leaflet and would like to be 100% certain of what my rights if I am not satisfied with the repair. I have had several incidents with the laptop power supply before and everytime I sent it off to be fixed and it was returned, there was always something else wrong, for example, they opened the laptop but managed to break the speaker grills in doing so... If anyone out there has a copy of the 2002 coverplan terms and conditions they could scan and send to me or point me somewhere on the web, I would be most grateful. Thanks, rogue_jedi
  2. Hi All, I am currently with HSBC and have a grad year loan over 5 years. I took this out at my local bank and as such when I approached the manager at the time he 'advised' me of the worth of PPI. The problem I have here is I think I was misrepresented and the manager made it such that I believed if I did not take it I would not get the loan. For example, I said that I did not want it, (its £50!!!!) but he then said: 'How would you pay it back if something happened to you?' I then said I would find a way through family temporarily. He then said: 'Well if your family will pay it then get the loan off them!' Anyhoo, I am annoyed at having to pay for PPI and am now past my cooling off period. Do I have to keep it? Its with Norwich Union Direct. Is there anyway to cancel it without having to incurr further debt? Please some advise would be nice asI am due to ring them soon about this today. Cheers, rogue_jedi
