My son joined a local gym and signed up for a 12 month memebership. He was paying by monthly installments, but then he was made redundant. He has missed 2 payments, and a debt collection agency is phoning him daily. He has explained to them his circumstances, i.e. loss of job, and has told them that he has decided to go to university in September. They have told him he has got to pay the full years membership. Does he have to have the full year, or can he cancel his membership due to the circumstances?
