  1. Hey, I'm abroad at the moment, I will be for some time, and postal connections here are not very good. My bank account is registered at my boyfriend's address in UK, he is happy to help me start claim procedure from there, but it will be difficult for me to sign documents and impossible to attend any hearings. Is it in someway possible for my boyfriend to act legally on my behalf, in the way a lawyer can?
  2. So is it likely there'd be much to do after that point? If I could leave a friend with a already-completed forms etc that might be OK
  3. It's in the region of £1000
  4. Yes getting a friend to do it on my behalf would be the only other option, but it seems likely it could turn into a heavy workload! Would it ever require a physical appearance in court? Presumably not if they're all paying up before it gets that far. If it comes to getting nothing or getting it minus 25% then I'd be OK with that sxx
  5. I'm about to send my prelim letter, but from what I've read here it seems it will all take a few months. I'm going abroad in about six weeks, I don't know how long for. I won't be bale to recive post or send documents very easily. So I'm thinking either 1) wait til I get back, but I don't know how long that will be, maybe a year, by which time I might have missed the boat if the banks manage to get OFT to let them off the hook or 2) bite the bullet and lose out on 25% or whatever by handing it all over to a no-win-no-fee firm. At least that way I don't have to do anything. Does anyone now if there's a firm that's reliable or not a bunch of crooks? I've seen a few advertised but there's posts about some of them being useless Sxx
  6. I've noticed on some other penalty-reclaiming websites they don't reccommend sending a preliminary leter, just straight to the LBA. Is this sensible, or are there legal or other reasons for sending the prelim letter? Sx
  7. Hi, I've just registered, I think I'm ready to roll - totalled my charges from my statements online, but having trouble finding the letter templates on this site - it'd be great to find one that's definitely worked with LloydsTSB before. Is there a step-by-step guide here somewhere? Thx
