I used to work for a well know company and i was always told not to refund any charges unless they whinged or complained enough to give them back. So that is what i used to do. I wasnt comftable with so i left after 3 months of being there. Hope this helps

i have but still dont understand how to go on about it i need some on to help me the letters ive sent so far is 1 asking for my statments off last 6 years they only sent me the last 4 years. 2 sent letter saying i want my charges back which come to £774 3 I got letter back off them saying they are in there right to charge me cause its in there terms and conditions I am really stuck on what to do next.

We are satisfied that the cahrges do not represent an unfair term under the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999 ("the Regulations") sets out that they do not apply to the adequacy of the bargain between the parties to a contract. The cahrges for services provided under your current account go to the heart of the contract between Northern rock and myself and in addition, very clearly go to the adequacy of the bargain between it and you. For these reasons, in accordance with regulations 6(2), the reagulations are not applicable to the charges applied to my current account and those charges are not unfair terms. I am on benefits and cannot take these to court on my own with out help of some sort but dont know how to go about getting any kind of help.

hi i am in the same situation as you with northern rock and the letter ive got back is basically the charges applied to my current account do not represent any form of damages for breach of contract.they are simply the agreed charges for the service provided and they have acted entirely within the terms and conditions and as a result will not be refunding me any charges. I have asked for all the charges you have asked for can you help me on what to do please.
