  1. I also recieved that letter LAST week!!!! Funny that - as the courts already had a stay put on at the beginning of august I dont think that i'm going to bother trying to get the stay removed - read loads on this site and not many achieving it by my accounts. Also I refuse to hand the courts any more of our money when really they could have got rid of all claims that were at court when the test case was anounced. Just means there is going to be such a backlog when everything comes to a head - god know how long it will be till we get any money
  2. Well the simple answer is no!! I asked on this forum if I could - and someone said that I couldn't Dont know why though :o Plus how come some of us who were on the same timescale got paid and not others?????????????? Baffles me when some were paid 4 times more than what I was claiming
  3. Quick question anyone....................................... can I transfer my claim case from leicester court to my LOCAL one of melton mowbray? Haven't got a clue where the leicester court is - but mine is just down the road in my local town!!!!!!!!!!! Would be grateful of any info tracey
  4. Hiya pinkprincess Thought it was about time i updated this site on my fight with good old NW I hadn't recieved any letters about stays from the NW or anything! Got back from my hols at the beginning of aug to see a letter from northampton court saying that my case had been transfered to leicester court. But on the letter it gave them 14 days to apply for a stay. My letter was dated 26th july. Thought that I had to wait to hear from the court about dates and everything, but then thought i would re-read the letter. Found after re-reading that the 14 days had been up a couple of days previously. whoowho i thought:) Decided to ring leicester who then told me that NW had applied for a stay THAT morning:mad: How come they can go over the allocated time slots???????????????? anywho............... when asked when they intended to let me know about this - horrid man told me 'when the post arrives'!!!!!!!!!! To cut a long story short!! - he said that leicester county court ARE staying ALL bank cases So that's it till the test case has finished apparently Fill me in on how you are doing ok? Laters
  5. I have just recieved a letter today from ikano offering me £50.00 - my orginal claim was for £100.00 - so I've signed the letter and sent it off accepting it! Iknow it's £50.00 short but anything is better than nothing at all And seeing as my NW one is at the court stage and unlikely to be paid out this year I'm well happy with that! tracey sar requested 2nd huly 2007 NO CHARGE FOR IT!! received 25th july 2007 £100.00 1st letter sent 5th august 2007 offer letter recieved 10th august 2007 £50.00 Accepted 10th august £50.00 WON lloyds tsb - £596.00 in june 2007 (amount claimed £670ish)
  6. I got the very same as you in the post - word for word! Mine was dated 26th july 2006 and says that they have 14 days to apply for a stay - i only got back from my hols on the 5th august - so their 14 days is up is'nt it? I haven't recieved that standard letter from NW stating that they will apply to stay all court cases so I'm really at a loss what to do. Do I contact leicester county court or wait till they contact me :? Another thing - whenever I ring the NW they seem to have no record of my claim, even though eversheds have, and just keep telling me that it must be with their legal dept any ideas about that one too anyone???? Good luck with the rest of your claim.
  7. Hi - yes I rang NW and they said that absolutely NO claims will be refunded as of today, but if you had a letter this week it still stands. The bloke at NW said that ALL claims have been suspended - even the court ones - and that it's not up to the individual court to decide if the case continues as THEY are taking the OFT to court along with the other banks!!!!!!!!! Dont know why it's any different for them to take the oft to court, than it is for us to take them to court?????? I reckon they are pretty sure that they will win - cos he said that NO refunds will be given if the court rule in their favour CONFUSED? I AM...................................................... Typical it happens just as my 28 days were well over - I think there should be some rule that if you've gone this far you should be paid!!!! I'm begruding the blooming court fee now, as I've got nothing to show for it! Even if it does pay out it'll be too late for everything i was planning
  8. But it seems that they say the court will rule a stay on current claims. This means that we still wont get anything till after it's all settled!!! I'm fuming at that bloke from nw - I really think he knew something when i spoke to him on tuesday. Fuming with my husband too - i was going to phone them yesterday (NW) , but no , He said to leave it till friday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! .............................And normally i dont listen to him
  9. Has anyone seen channel 4 news tonight? What does this means for us who have waited 28 days with mcol/n1? Are we still gonna get our money? What about the wasted £120.00 court fee if we're not gonna get anything? I'm really hacked off as that nw bloke told me to ring tomorrow - bet he bloomimg well knew all about this test case
  10. Just got back from tesco and still nothing there Looks like it's a buget holiday for me :o Sorry copeswell ....................I knew it was daniel12 getting married in cyprus - just put wrong name We got hitched in the town hall in paphos - very nice old greek building.
  11. Also copeswell - GOOD LUCK for your wedding in cyprus. You'll have a fab day - I know cos I got married there in 2003! God how I love that country - been there 7 times now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's gonna be my retirement home
  12. Hmmmmmmmmm ............... not sure about that one From reading this site and mse's site there have only been two payouts (as far as i can see anyway!) since last thurs/fri I look on this as a good sign and that nw must do them in stages on certain days - HOPEFULLY!!! As for e-mailing eversheds, they never replied to my e-mail , that's why I rang aswell. I can tell you it's really hard not to ring nw today, must wait till tomorrow!!! Also it doesn't seem like there are alot of people on this weeks timescale - not on the forums anyway - so here's hoping for something in our accounts sooooooon LOL
  13. Hmmmmmmmm I'm off on hols on sat night and really, really, really wanted this all out of the way before then LOL Hopefully we'll hear something from pinkprincess today too I really think that nw are just behind in the claims , and do it a week at a time. Strange though that in this day and age that they cant transfer from dept to dept via computers eh?
  14. I would snatch their hands off!!!!!!! £250 compo, it seems, is the standard amount that they give for closing accounts when they really shouldn't have. Congrats on all your successes
  15. I've just been trawling back through previously read threads (read when I first started all this!) and I'm very comforted to see that NW have paid out roughly 3-5 days after the defence :o on alot of cases - sarahlou being one of them. Hopefully this gareth bloke will have some good news for me on friday Not over hopeful on recieving anything through the post in the next few days as the royal mail has started their next round of 2 weeks strikes today!!!!! - my husband is one of them, so no slating them please I'll just keep on checking..............and checking..................and checking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck to you daniel12 - hope you dont have to go through this too
