  1. Sorry the misunderstanding was on my part my apologies the office of fair trading are taking a group of banks to court over bank charges and because of this all cases with these banks are being put on hold but if u have put in your court claim that the charges were taken from benefits then this type of case can not be put on hold but they may be able to put a temporary stay on this case. My apologies for getting the wrong end of the stick or not making my point clear i have no legal background and i too am taking my bank to court to the charge of 8 thousand pounds in charges and all this is new to me i am learning on the job so to speak LOL Good luck with your case hope you and everyone gets what they deserve back from banks and they finally learn that we will not bend over and take it up the rear forever.
  2. If you are claiming your bank charges on the grounds that they were taken from an account containing benefits they can not but a stay on this case due to the OFT case going through
  3. How do the banks sleep at night apart from on big and expensive beds i was in the same situation ie on state benefit and had £6142 taken in benefit i am registered disabled and whenever ad charges always asked for a small £50 overdraft which would have prevented any further charges but they refused heck why should they they were raking it in and had a guranteed repayment cause of state beneit going in every week am now taking alliance & leicester to court lets hope all those that are owed money rise up and show the banks that we are not theire own little piggy bank

  5. Can anyone tell me what address to send the court papers to and how i go about claiming 7761.40 i have gone through the letters stage now at court stage but it say's nothing about a 50000 limit in small claims im totally lost with all of this am thinking about handing it all over to a claims company but wil they have to start the whole process all over again As for the effect you were on about i am disabled and all these charges were taken from me when i was on social security so had limited money as it was every time i had a charge i would ring and ask for a small £50 overdraft which would have stopped all future charges but they said no then again why would they they were getting a decent amout out of me so guess u can't blame then (said through gritted teeth) Thanks for any help you can give me
