  1. Anyone help? I watched watchdog the other night and thats making me think I should have wrote to Endeavour rather than the broker......
  2. Hi All Have a secured loan with endeavour personal finance and its got PPI. we dont ever remember taking it out on the loan and at the time were in a major financial crisis so know we would have been aiming to get the lowest repayment per month possible. Called endeavour yesterday to ask about it to be told they never sold it to us a broker did called central capital. I have never heard freom them and dont have any documentation from them either. They only way I seen we had PPI is because we have just had a PPI statement from Endeavour. So I have written to Central capital requesting my credit agreement and also the T&C's and explaining that I didnt even know who they were. What do I do next? Thanks
  3. I wrote back in July to the bank asking for my charges back. I didnt include any interest as I was hoping it would keep it simple and the bank would pay quicker as I am in lots of debt so all money is needed. The test cast open just as my 28 days were up.. so the bank sent the standard reply of we got your claim but due to the test case etc etc. So I have just sat back and waited, untill I checked back on here and noticed people have still been claiming. Should I start again or should I send the action before court letter? And do think it would be worth trying to get me interest back aswell now or is that pushing it? I am in a huge amount of debt and on a cccs debt plan so am desparate for cash t try to help pay things off quicker. thanks
  4. Happy ending..... well I spoke to E-on and they were horrible, says that the bill goes back to 2003 and that she needs to pay all of it. They said that they would set it at £3 a week. I argued for a £1 and they said no. Her meter was last adjusted in March 2006 !!! I asked why it hadnt been done again and the girl on the phone said the engineer was refused entry...lol... the meter is on the outside of the house so this wouldnt have happened. By this point i was angry.. so I called energywatch and explained the situation they were great and gave me a refernece number and then trnasfered me through to a department at E-on who have beeen set up to sort these issues out. The guy was great... turns out you lot were right, they can only claim for between april 2005 and april 2007, so that has brought the payment down to £240... and it is going to be set at £1 a week from the meter. They are coming out to reset the meter on the 11 january. thanks alot everyone for your help.
  5. Hi all, my mum has had a pre payment meter for as along as i can remember and has never been in debt for her electricity. However she recently recieved a letter from e-on saying they needed to upgrade her meter to a key meter instead of a card meter and then on the bottom it said she was in debt by £435!!!. I called and they said its due to her meter not being updated with the latest rate etc, and once she gets the new meter installed they will set it so it pays the bill off gradually. However this could take another 6 months... so meanwhile she is still going to be paying the wrong rate. Surley the debt is there fault... they should have got out and changed the meter sooner... why should she now have to pay a higher rate to pay off the debt. Is there anything I can do? or do i just agree and let them do it.
  6. yep - got that budgetted for. Its amazing how much difference it makes when u actually know what ur doing and not letting the DCA's bully you.
  7. wow not been on here for a while... needed a little time to get my head sorted extra. Well thanks to you lot my finances are ''sort of'' sorted. We are now on a payment plan with CCCS. We pay them £137 and they pay our creditors. We no longer get any phone calls and if we do get a letter we just call cccs and they deal with it. So thats all the stress and worry gone. The mortgage arrears..... we spoke to our lendor and explained the situation with cccs and that now we wouldn't get behind with our payments they have agreed to capitalise the £1,178 arreas we had, so now our account is back in the black. We had two bank charges claims with first direct totalling around £1500 and we won both of those, so have used the money to pay off some smaller debts and overdrafts. We also won natwest charges, we had a overdraft with them so now thats cleared and we used what was left to again pay off smaller accounts. Lloyds and yorkshire bank charges claims have been made but they took so long to send statements and we submitted a claim for the amounts at the begining of july - they replied saying they would respond within 3-4 weeks, and now the OFT are in high court - I am guessing nothing will happen for a while. So everything is going ok at the moment. (touch wood) Now that we have cleared arrears on prioty debts it also means that we can now pay more moeny to CCCS for them to share out, so we now have a debt free deadline of 6 years time..... whooohooooo. (excluding the mortgage of course!) My car finance finsishs soon aswell so that will be another £150 to add for CCCS, and hopegfully that will bring the debt free date even closer. Thank you all so much ... I know I wasnt on alot asking questions but just being able to come on and read other peoples and get information helped us to get back on track.
  8. Back again with a little question ..... I got a call from NDL last niteto say they have passed my file to the CCCS instead of payplan. He confirmed a few of my figures and said everything should be fine and I should here something in a few days time. I just got one little niggle - As I only have £137 left to pay off 17 creditors and totalling about 24k debt. Do u think I will be accepted? And what happens if I dont - Do I then try and do it all myself?
  9. gosh its been awhile...... well we are still waiting for a response back from the DMP, our figures were slightly out we didnt have £257 left we only have £137. But they said thats fine and they will let us know. We have written to all the credits and explained what we are doing and they have left us alone since (touch wood) As we have 13 creditcards and banks, we have since got a compnay to trawel thru the 6 years of accounts for each of them. there fee is only 15% and TBH we both work full time and have got thespare time to look thru all the paperwork etc. So I'll let you know who pays what. So all in all we are playing the waiting game. We should hopefully be hearing about the DMP soon so I'll let you all know.
  10. update - I have since sent the letter asking for the money and am still awaiting a response - I am getting ready to send the next letter but as we have had a bank holiday I am giving my postman tiome to catch up. Just wondering - does anyone think they will close my account?
  11. Open my account with FD in June last year. This month I got a £80 charge so being curious I looked all the way back through my statments and found out they owe me just over £500!!. Called them up and spoke to someone who said that the charges were reasonable and it was my fault cause my account was going overdrawn - I however pointed out that my account wasnt overdrawn in each case untill they took there charges - and becasue of them I am now in a vicous cirle of reciveing charges every month. So she told me to write the there customer relations manager. I have now printed off all my statements and highlighted the charges and sent a lovely covering letter. Fingers crossed.
  12. Thanks so much everyone - I feel great - and I have even had the nerve to speak to a few of the DCA!! Its so nice to hear people are doing the same as us - i.e hiding the post and ignoring the phone. right........ whoooo so far I have applied to all my banks and credit cards asking for statements to claim back the charges etc. Spoke to debtline who say they can do me a DMP. and I have done my money plan as follows (for two people) A = Total Wages = £2320 Mortgage = £620 S/Loan = £320 S/Loan = £160 C/Tax = £110 Water = £20 Buildings = £27 Gas = £30 Electric = £30 Fuel = £60 Housekeeping = £300 T.V = £11 HP = £150 Clothing = £30 Phone PAYG = £10 Perscriptions = £10 Extra = £25 B = total - £1913 A = 2320 - B =c = £407.00 Other Priotys Mortgage arrears - £900 - offering them £100 per month C/Tax arrears £210 - offering them £50 per month D = total = £150 C - £407.00 -D - £150.00 = E - £257.00 for other creditors we have 20 !! on credit cards, loans and catalogues £257.00 divided by 20 = £12.85 each Have I done that right?? And am I now right in thinking I need to send all of that plus a letter staing my new payment offer to all of the creditors. We dont have cable or sky - we cancelled all of them plus cancelled the landline phone and the contrat phones already to save money.
  13.
