  1. Hi all Could any1 please HELP me! I have just filled out the spreadsheet(simple) to go with my prelim letter. Got to the final charge it had added all the 8% interest automatically. I wanted to remove this as this is what i have read up so far. now i can't get a total balance & i'm scared to mess about with the spreadsheet as it took me so long to fill in as it is. How can i erase all the interest & still get a balanceat the bottom without having thousands of lines? any help much appreciated. Regards Turk101
  2. Thanks for the advise. I'm still a little confused as how will i calculate any OVERDRAFT INTEREST? (not general overdraft interest or the 8% interest) Also will the spredsheet automatically put the 8% interest in (should i remove it, if it does?) Regards turk101 ps sorry to be annoying but i have read lots on the site but get a little confused at times:oops: .
  3. Hi All Finally received a peice of paper (1 page) with all charges to date. My question is this : it has date, charge, followed by DR (example) 01/01/01 20.00DR no description of what the charge is actually for dd, failed cheque etc no running balance. in total the charges reach £1850. HOW DO I DO A SPREADSHEET TO INCLUDE INTEREST? many thanks in advance for any advice regards turk101
  4. Just an update. By a stroke of luck just received a annual statement for 1 of the accounts. If i send a D P R can i ask for the accounts details at the same time? Would it be 1 x £10 cheque or would i need to send two? any advise appreciated. Regards turk101

    TURK101 vs EGG cc

Hi all Sent a D P R to Egg on the 21/03/07 received reply on the 14/04/07 asking for i.d, sent that straight back, just received a letter today saying they are in the process of retrieving the relevant details, which will be sent within 40 calender days. Better than HALIFAX & BOS i suppose, sending L B A to them for data request. Will keep updating as & when. Regards turk101
  6. Hi all I am just about to send HALIFAX & BOS cc a L.B.A. I noticed the template i used for the data protection request was only for six years worth. My question is, is it worth adding a note to the L.B.A to ask for full information or all statements they have for the account? Any advise appreciated. Regards turk101
  7. Hi all I must be 1 off the most unluckiest buggers around! Read & laugh Trying to start a claim for an old dormant account i had with abbey a few years back, spoke to customer services to get my account details, who told me to take id to any branch & they would give me the details. So after queing for 35mins to see someone this is what happens: Checks passport & driving license & tells me i have two accounts(even though i can't remember having two) 1 joint account with wife & 1 my self. I said ok thats nice can i have the account details then please? now for the funny part! lady replies sorry due to data protection act because the account is dormant i have to tell them the account details first or show them a statement, or the bank card. I explained if i had had the details i would not have stood in the que for 35mins. I was controlled & calm up until this point, i asked to see the manager who after 10 mins came along to tell me the same rubbish. I was just really frustrated that customer services sent me there for nothing . I took all the names & a complaints form & left. absolutely:evil:  . Any1 heard of this sort of nonsense before & how do i get my account details. sorry for the long (probably annoying post) Regards turk101
  8. Thanks Rooster Yes i sent D.P.A with the £10 cheque's enclosed. The 40 days ends 2morrow so will now send NON-COMPLIANCE letter. Regards turk101
  9. Hi all I have started the preliminary stages (data potection request). I would just like some advise. 40 days are up 2morrow i have had NO correspondence from either the above (1 current account & 1 cc). Should i phone them or just send the next stage letter? Also is it just luck on how quick we get responses because if it is i'm not the luckiest of people when it comes to things like this! LOL If recommended to phone them, what sort of line should i take? should i threaten court action or give them 7 days? Any advise much appreciated. Regards turk101
  10. Many thanks for that mumofthreeboys. Regards turk101
  11. Hi that is what i meant, they have said they will send data within 40 days. Sorry for the confusion. So what would be my next step with the other two banks that have not even responded to the data request, i presume these are all delay tactics from the banks as it buys them more time in each process.:o :o I think i will have to contact the information commissioner, but as i said this will entail some time i would expect. thanks for the reply. Regards turk101
  12. Hi all i'm new to the forum. Just wanted to say hello. I have started a few claims against the banks but am at the starting process, requested data (statements, charges) within 40 days which is ending in a couple of days. 1 of 3 has replied asking for proof of address(i think a delay tactic) so they now have another 40 days. The other 2 have not responded as yet.(they have 3 days left! LOL). Anyway thats basically me, excellent forum by the way. will check again soon! Regards turk101
