Despite not having put in court papers yet because of test case. And despite a letter from Abbey saying everything is on hold. I got 500.00 credited to my account today - as a "gesture of goodwill". This is on a claim of 3,000.00. Obviously I will reply saying that I am still claimiing the full amount. But was surprised to get this when they are saying everything is on hold at the moment.

Thanks folks Yep i've got proof of delivery of everything !!! I've started a claim back to 2000 - sent prelim letter last week. After that I think I might give the 6 year limit a test. Cheers Martyn

Thanks Clarion Yep, I used the S.A.R - (Subject Access Request) from here. So far only recieved back to 2000 - and 2 years of that were a spreadsheet! They have till 20 June (7 more days) to comply with the SAR. Should I send them a reminder, or just let the 20th come around and report them????????

Has anyone managed to get copies of statements before 2000? I have received from Jan 2000, but have not got anything back from ShAbbey prior to then. I first opened my account in the 1970's and would dearly love to have a go at 25 years of charges !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Martyn

Morning All, Just going to Post Office to send my Prelim Letter and copy of spreadsheet to Pam Speed. Asking for £2966.50, going back to end of Jan 01. Also chasing her up for statements back to 1976 !! That should be fun !!!

Just got my statements through back to 30/01/01. Have had an account with them since the mid 70's, and although I asked for ALL statements since account opened, this is all I got. I'm proposing to 1) treat 30/01/01 to today as 1 claim 2) bang off non-compliance letter for remainder of statements 3) new claim for pre-30/1/01 Does that sound right??? Martyn

I do no thave the best credit score at the moment !!! And am also overdrawn with ShAbbey. Can anyone suggest a Bank that I could open an account with, I would need one with a debit card as work takes me abroad a fair bit. Thanks:?
