  4. Good evening. I have sent the 1st standard letter to them asking for my ppi premiums to be repaid as they mis-sold it - saying that I had to have it to get the loan for the car I bought off them when it was good old Yes Car Credit. The reply I got which was a standard letter... was basically saying go away, you signed the papers, you knew what you were signing and why are you only now querying it, you have no leg to stand on. My question is.. how do I reply to them now, as needless to say it isn't the end of it all.
  5. I've had exactly the same response from them!! Needless to say I'm not going to give up just yet. I'm hoping it is just a delaying tactic as per the bank charges. I'm going to do a bit more reading if I find anything I'll get back to you
  6. Hi, I've read through lots of posts but can't seem to find anything regarding my position. Last yr I got into arrears with the finance I had on my car. The say they defaulted me, it is on my credit file but I have never rec'd any written confirmation of it (even though common sense say's they will do this). However, I got in touch with them and arranged a repayment which is still running. I think found out about VT'ing my car. I have paid well over 50% of the actual loan amount (not inc the PPI). I wrote to them telling them I want to VT the car and to remove the default as they've never told me about it. They just replied saying I can't VT ad I defaulted. Good bye. Is this right? I thought I could as I've paid more than 50%. I currently over approx £3.5k on a car worth £1k. Your thoughts and comments would be appreciated. I'm going to try calling CCCS also.
  7. Hi, I've been reading through a lot of threads to gleen some information, but not quite getting a full understanding. My boyfriend bought a Saab from a Blackhorse car dealership approx 12 months ago. Ever since it has been in the garage and stuck on the drive more times than he has been able to drive it, there has literally been a constant problem with it. Luckily he took out the warrantee so the repairs are covered - if somewhat slow. He has since opted to leave it on the drive and have a company car... he would sell it now but it still doesn't work. The Saab garage came to pick it up but had to pull over half way back and refused to drive it any further as it was dangerous (there is no power in the car and it won't go over 2.5 rev's) My question what rights do we have to take this clown car back to the dealership as it is defective and we were sold a heap of junk... that albeit one that looks very nice. Thanks
  8. Hi I've recieved notification from the court saying B/c are defending my claim for refund of charges and giving me details of their defence... is this something they are doing with everyone? I suppose I just wait for them to crack don't I? (please say yes LOL)
  9. Nice one, I like your style! I've submitted my claim about a week and half ago and they have said they will defend, judging by what has happened to you they don't, which I'm pleased about. I'll sit and wait. It's good to hear you not taking any BS from them, is so refreshing to hear all these people taking some of the control back off the finance industry at long last! Good Luck
  10. claim submitted on 27th July, Cap 1 have said they are going to defend, as per my post on B/card I'm assuming they won't really and are wanting me to withdraw. Is there anything I need to be doing in prep though just incase?
  11. there's been no reply to my letter yet, will have to chase them. I have my umbrella account set up so if they want to close it they can, I'd prefer them not to though.
  12. thanks for your kind words Shaz, all that lovely money will soon be yours! I do have a question for the forum, Barclaycard have said they are going to defend the claim, they haven't all of a sudden started to have they? I'm assuming it is just a waiting game now, or is there something I should be doing in prep for it? Thanks
