  1. Help!!!! I am so confused Back in .........2018 I had to go to court due to the fact that my tenant refused to leave the house and made Some allegations which was not true ...long story the bottom line is I had to engage the Services of a lawyer and now ended up with a bill to the of 6k for their services... i was meant to pay £200 payment plan in instalments but this was defaulted due to restricted work at the time... Because I have been unable to make the payment my lawyers have now filed for Bankruptcy...and I have been give a date in May to attend. I am now so worried when I read about the impact of going down the bankruptcy route My question now is there anyway I can dispute this or get the judge to revoke this application or is there an alternative option to Bankruptcy? I Patiently await your response. Regards FASHY
  2. Hi, I had a financial adviser who advised me on how they could get me a better life insurance policy and also how I could claim for PPI this I gave the go ahead, and necessary information was given last year July, ever since i have been pursuing for an update but was told they were still working on it, last month when i chased again the financial company turns around to say the company who deals with their PPi are no longer dealing with PPI claims any longer. however coincidentally, couple of weeks later, I received a letter from my bank stating they had refunded me for my ppi claim I was well pleased as I just assumed this is something Barclays is doing, so Barclays offset my backlog debts and the rest I cashed to clear other debts. A week later out of the blue, I have now received a letter from the financial company whom i was informed they no longer used, saying that I now owe 25% of what I have been given, unfortunately I had no idea I will be charged, as this information was never cascaded to me and besides I have spent the money on my backlog of bills. My question now is, am i obliged to pay back this money that i do not have, precisely £1750.00 and shouldnt they have clarified this from the start and also shouldnt they have collected the money directly before the payout What is my stand in this circumstance, now worried . Regards Fashy

  4. I just observed a deduction of a £100 was deducted from my account by Westcott. I Phoned my Bank and it was confirmed Westcott made the deduction. I do not remember speakin to Westcott or providin them with my account details. My bank has advised I call them up to query transaction. Can Westcott withdraw money from my account with out my consent? I am so upset as I have recently been made redundant and that was my last cash, I am now worried further deductions may continue which i dont have. Please advise so worried. :|Fashy
  5. Point noted, blessing in disguise I will say because the car is on finance at the moment.
  6. Thank you for your response, this is very helpful, at the moment the bailiffs have not been. I am a single mum of 3, but I am not on benefits, I do have a car in my driveway can they take this away without my consent? I am prepared to pay little amoubnt 0f money directly to the council.
  7. Hi I have a similar case with my council tax payment, only that I initially missed a payment in June 2010, and did not contact them, at the time I was going through a very difficult time, they sent me letters asking me to pay the lot so I filled out a form requesting to pay in instalments, usually I pay £93 amonth but when they responded I have been told to pay £241 a month which is well beyond what I can afford. A liability order has come through requesting I pay the whole lot, i did not bother responding to them as I was hoping and looking for a way to raise the cash, in the process they have now contacted me again saying if I do not pay by the 20th Sept a bailliff will be visiting me. I am now scared as I do not know what to do as I know I can't clear the whole £963 which they have now declared that i should pay up. Can you please advise how I can approach the situation and sotp living in fear.

  9. Hi, Can someone kindly advise if there are any steps I can take to avoid the Bailliff being involve that is can I possibly request that I pay a fixed amount to thames water directly? or has this opportunity been lost once it has been passed on to the bailiffs? Fashy
  10. Thank u so much, i will go through the link.....
  11. Apparently, the bills would have come through, but as at the time my ex was suppose to be sorting the bills, its only recently that i have realised this did not happen, though i am no longer there, but the place is still occupied but still in my name.
  12. Hi, I am with thameswater, but the agent is called moorcroft.
  13. Dear all, Can someone kindly advice me on what to do, I have previously lived in a house for about 7yrs and have never paid water rate, but after I left the address I had a tenant who moved in 3 yrs down the line I am now chased to pay an outstanding bill of over £1000.00 Is there ayway I can get out of this, or perhap avoid having the baillifs after me. What are my chances in terms of a legal stand. If i have to repay the amount, can i pay a minimum amount, when I last spoke to the acting agent I was told to pay a minimum of £200 a mth, which I cannot afford are there any steps to take to pay a lesser amount. very worried:evil:fashy
