  3. the client was billed for all personell who worked on the contract, this included all Staff and ltd co's as a whole. RBG passed on the backpay to their staff, but are not doing the same for the ltd co guys.
  4. the client were given a spreadsheet with a list of names, hours job no's etc, my name was on the list given to the client.
  5. Does this make sense, or do i need to explain further? I am not the only Ltd co that they have charged the client for that they are not paying, i am in cintact with a buddy who is in the same boat as me and i know there are quite a few others. So we are talking of quite a substanial amount here.
  6. I have an issue i would like some advice on. I operate as a Ltd Co, i was contracted to a company called RBG, who inturn were contracted to provide services for CoP RBG's rates are governed by the offshore contractors agreement (OCA) OCA increased the rates for all contractors last year so RBG backcharged this to Cop from April Last year to Feb this year, which is when RBG lost the contract. I transfered to the company who won the contract from RBG. RBG offered me £141.60, but i know they charged the client over £1k under my name. so i queried this. Now things have turned sour, RBG are demanding to know who or where i got my information from, and saying its a breach of client/contractor confidentiality etc. Now RBG are refusing to pay me any money i was due from the backcharge even though they used my name to charge the client money. Is this fraud or not.
  7. would this mean that the POA is null and void
  8. turns out this woman has had several business' that have all went bust, all under different names and different address' although they have all had the same postcode. My dads solicitor is sure that she should not be power of attorney as she has a history of bad debts any thoughts?
  9. Hi, Looking for advice on a matter concerning my grandad. My grandad is ill in hospital at the moment, a few days ago he told my dad while he was visiting that he has gave power of attorney to some woman who has befriended him. This woman absolutley has her own agenda for doing this, that i am 100% sure of. She has been collecting his pension for sometime now and we don not know what she is doing with it. We also do not know how long she has had power of attorney for. We do know though that this woman drove my grandad 30miles to see his solicitor to sign the forms, my grandad can barely get out of his chair on his better days. This morning my dad phoned this woman and asked to meet her, she immediately went on the defensive and refused to meet him without a witness. She failed to meet my dad at the time he arranged. A brief background check has revealed that within the last year she was a director at a company that went bankrupt!!! Alarm bells are ringing to say the least. My grandad will not hear a bad word said about this woman and he is not in good health so dont want to push the issue with him either!! What are the limitations to somebody having power of attorney, can she spend my grandads money to pay her own debts / bills living expenses. Can she just transfer his money to her own accounts or does the law demand that all the money is accounted for. Also worth noting that my mum & dad have been paying all his bills / council tax etc out of their own pocket!!!!
  10. My girlfriend recently started a car insurance policy with asda online. She got a half decent quote so she decided to take the policy and pay it in full. Now asda have came back to her and said because she had an accident last year, which was not her fault and was settled by the other parties insurance they want another £250 or they will cancell her policy.
  11. i have recently been in contact with an old work buddy who also used freelance euro. He had the same problem, however he kept all his stuff from them and disproved their claim. I asked him for a statement which he provided to me, i thought that if the worst happened i could use it in court.
  12. Hi, About 5 years ago i used an umbrella company called freelance euro to run & manage my ltd co for me. The set up was like this: I faxed them my timesheets, they invoiced client, client paid money to them, they paid money to me, minus a monthly fee of around £90. In 2009 i got a letter from freelance saying they had overpaid me approx £6k between 2006 & 2007 and that they want me to repay it. I disagree with their claim and replied to them with a spreadsheet of my own showing that they owed me money, they disagreed with my spreadsheet and said cough up basically. That was about a year ago, today i received a letter from a company called nexum on behalf of freelance saying that freelance are considering raising proceedings against me. Just wondering where i stand here from a legal point of view. Can i tell them to get stuffed or is the law on their side? Can i argue "profesional negligence" due to the fact i was paying them to provide a service which they have failed to do to a professional standard. I have been contacting my main client at the time, Oceaneering. I requested details of all payments made to me during the period in question but so far they have been very unhelpful. If i had this info from them i would be able to cross reference this to my bank statements and i would have a strong case to show freelance and get them off my back. Is there some law or regulation i can quote to them that will get them to co-operate with me, as i take it i am within my rights to have access to this information. Thanks in advance
  13. ok they charged us £30, do you understand what i mean now?
  14. My daughter attends the same NHS detist as her mum, a few months back during the snow / icy weather my daughter was late to her appointment by 5 mins. We live 8 miles away so it was a slow journey due to the road conditions, anyway long story short, my daughter who is 8 years old was fined £30 by the dentist for being 5 mins late, my daughter does not even pay anything for any treatment or appointments so how can they get away with this. To top it off they would not even let her be seen by the dentist.
  15. A few months ago after a sucsessfull PPI claim against welcome, i decided i should pay off some debts with the money. I paid off my lloyds visa & my capitol one cards. The following month i recieved a statement from cap one, asking for £2.65 in interest, i was under the impression that if i paid the balance then no interest would be charged as this was the case with llloyds. Anyway i thought i had paid it untill yesterday when i got another statement for £14.72, which included a late/failure to pay charge. Now this has really ****ed me off. Can anyone advise if they have made an error at their end by charging me the interest in the first place. Thanks
