  3. hi there wonder if anybody can give us some advice. i had a 200 pound overdraft and went over that by a hell of alot. one evening around 7.30pm there was ta knock at the door i answered it as my partner was in bed. this man was stood there and asked to speak to myself i asked him who he was and he said that he had been sent by natwest to collect my credit card and cheque book. i went to collect my credit card and check book and asked the guy to wait in the hallway why i went to get the credit card and cheque books. i returned with them he took them off of m and ripped the cheques up and snapped the credit card. he then asked where the other 3 credit cards were i explained to him that i only had the 1. the guy then pushed me against the wall to get past me and said he was going to have a quick look himself. the noise of me screaming woke my partner up who come running out of the bedroom my partner had seen this baliff push me through the hallway the guy seen my partner and was very shocked as he must of thought it was just me in the house my partner asked who the guy was i told my partner that he was friom natwest and has just pushed me against the wall my partner turned to the guy and asked him to leave or he will remove him personally. the guy left only for the police to turn up 30mins later police say that my partner had ripped his jacket pocket and that the guy had wanted my partner done for criminal damage. so my partner was arested for criminal damage and was interviewed where he was charged with criminal damage and has to appear in court. my partner done nothing to this guy except ask him to leave i was there i seen what happened even the police refuse to take a witness statment from me as they say iam not a witness because iam his partner. i went down to the police station next day to make a complaint of assualt against the baliff as the police wouldnt take a statment that day. the officer took my statment and told me that they would be asking this baliff to come in for an interview. within 30mins of returning home i had a phone call from the officer saying that he has had a word with his sargant and wont be taking this ,matter any further. i asked the officer why they were not going to take statment from my partner i was told that he was not a third party witness and was my partner. i did point out to the officer that there was only 3 of us there that night but wasnt intrested. iam in no doubt what so ever that my partner will get found not guilty iam not going to let this drop as natwest and the baliff was in the wrong the baliff dropped a pice of paper in a hurry to leave it was the job sheet from natwest and it clearly states that i have 4 credit cards and cheque book ive kept this pice of paper as evidence as i belive natwest are to blame for the baliff assualting me. ive only ever had 1 credit card from natwest and not 4 natwest now accept that ive only ever had 1. if the baliff was told proper information i would never of been assualted and my partner going to court for something he has not done. natwest did not at any point try and contact me regarding the credit card and cheque book just sent a baliff with wrong information. i would of had no problem in returning the cheque book and credit card if natwest would of asked. i contacted natwest regarding there baliff they sent and got a letter back from them saying sorry natwest now charging me 100.00 amonth intrest on the overdraft ive gone over i would ask anybody who could give me and my partner some advice or if you have had a similar experiance please leave a message. i want to sue the baliff and natwest for what as happened as i done nothing wrong except not have 4 credit cards. iam going to alert the local papers here about my partners trial and the background surrounding it in hope that it will generate some bad publicity for natwest. thanks for taking time to read my threaD take care all annmarie
