  1. cerque i didnt even need to put pen to paper in my case, just rang FOS and consumer direct, FOS raised the complaint with swinton on my behalf after i pointed out this was unfair trading practice and a cooling off period is standard, give them a ring and see how you get on..
  2. hi cerque just to let you know i got my fee money refunded within a week of me raising the complaint and 2 month ago i recieved a cheque for the deposit i had paid... well worth a phone call to FOS even though i did feel fobbed off at the time.. good luck....
  3. 1st time i've seen it and it certainly made me smile thanks for posting it
  4.:lol: pmsl link financial for me...phone call out of the blue of nasty man saying he was coming for my house unless i tipped up £3300 right that minute hell hath no fury like a women threatend by a bad mannered male. so far link have saved me over 10k in unrecoverable debt that i was paying everymonth, thank you link
  5. janey im sorry for sayin about CCA request, didnt realise it was an overdraft, just got in from work and tired..... advice regard waiting to see wat they send you tho is still the same, post back here and you will get the right advice off someone less tired...ooops the always lie on the phne thats why letter is better. if you enter into a payment plan at some point with them it will be on your terms and not theirs:D
  6. hi janey it wont cost you £5 for the info, link are full of s*** and they are playing the usual stalling tacticts. do nothing until you receive the letter and post back here, if they make a demand for payment and they still havent complied with your CCA reqest you can report them to TS and FOS, assuming of course that they have expired the time limit. you may know you own the debt but the onus is on link to prove they are legally able to collect money from you,,,,,,no CCA from link means no enforcable debt untl they can come up with it.... if they do come up with it then that is a different matter that can still be dealt with in a reasonable way. i would recommend you tell them to go away each time they phone and keep everything to letter only, it gives you proof of what they are doing should you need it to bargain with good luck, so far so good
  7. soyry stupot i mean main page of debt collection industry so your thread will get posted here, sorry if i caused you any confusion.....

  10. hi godmother, mine was littlewoods also, moorcroft sent me the above response that unitedfan has got, i was advised to igore it, which i did, then littlewoods sent me a blank application form i take your point though and yes it does very much depend on what its for and who the OC is
  11. ahhhh standard cr** just ignore and see what they send next, keep everything sent and received. im guessing the next you hear could be on the lines of ' on this occasion we can not obtain the CCA and we will be sending the account back to the original lender' good luck
