  1. Nationwide filed their defence on 29th August claiming they owe me nothing. Just got to sort out the Allocation Questionnaire now.
  2. Hasn't rained today (yet), but chucked it down yesterday and garage full of stuff got flooded again despite sandbags at the door!
  3. OK, so after giving them more time than I said, I filed my N1 with my local County Court today. I know it's all going a bit wobbly with this test case stuff, but if I leave it too long my claim amount will shrink as charges fall of the back of the Limitation period... I've set down my marker now though.
  4. Woman walks up to a bar and asks asks for a double entendre... ... so the barman gave her one.
  5. Overcast but bright in Skegness - hasn't rained since yesterday - hope it stays dry, got washing on the line. Did anyone notice that it rained on St Swithun's Day?
  6. Well, gotta hand it to them, first Bog Off letter arrived today - very speedy, suggesting I might want to increase my overdraft if I'm having financial difficulties, hmmm... let me think... nah, that won't help. Firing off my LETTER BEFORE ACTION today. Let's hope they keep up the pace!
  7. Well, I received the correct statements on 5th June - wasn't for as much as I thought it was for but still over £1000 in Unpaid Direct Debit/Cheque charges! From the information they provide (and because I didn't keep statements) it is difficult to work out what interest I was charged on these charges so I have had to send my Preliminary Approach for Repayment with just the charges on it:(. Anyway, Prelim letter sent today - just twiddle my thumbs for 14 days before I send the inevitable next letter...
  8. They received my request on 28th of March and I only heard from them yesterday - and then they sent me the stuff for the wrong account:shock: . My original 40 day deadline is Monday 7th.
  9. The address given by Nationwide is: Data Protection Officer Business Contingency Management Kings Park Road Moulton Park Northampton NN3 6NW Don't forget to enlose your £10 cheque - they don't need excuses for delays...
  10. Grrrrr.... Today received what I thought would be the schedule of charges I've been waiting for, but no, they sent me the information for our JOINT FlexAccount with 2 or 3 charges on - handy for my next claim but not concerning the hundreds of pounds I was expecting OR had asked for. The deadline on my original request expires on Monday 7th May so I sent them another letter informing them of their 'mistake' and reminding them of the deadline. To be fair to them I sent it Special Delivery so they'll receive it by 1pm tomorrow (Friday), so if they get their skates on they can get the information to me by the Monday deadline. To be extra helpful I tried to ring them repeatedly but got either no answer or engaged. Will spend some of this weekend preparing my Data Protection Act Non-Compliance Claim, working on the principle that Sod's Law dictates that I'll be all prepared and then the stuff'll fall onto my doormat just as I'm leaving the house to file it!
  11. Back from my holidays (3 weeks sailing with my brother in NW Spain). Well they received my SAR on the 28th of March and the cheque cleared my account on 11th April. It's now been 28 days since they got the SAR and I'm still waiting for their reply. I know they've got another 12 days so still sitting tight...
  12. Enough is enough. After having been charged another £90 in bounced direct debit penalties, I need to do something about it. They don't even send me a letter to let me know the payment has bounced. What are they doing with my money? I've opened my parachute account and have written to ask for details of the last 6 years of charges. A very nice lady on the phone told me I needed to send it to: Data Protection Officer Business Contingency Management Kings Park Road Moulton Park Northampton NN3 6NW Also told me I needed to enclose a £10 cheque. Done. In the mean time I downloaded my statements from the on-line banking and totted up the charges - comes to about £450 just in the last 2 years. I can't wait for the final figure. Off on my hols for 2 weeks on Wednesday. Wonder if the information will be back by then...
