Not sure about the pent up anger thing , but having been a caravan owner for a number of years and witnessing the underhand way most park owners make there money (especially regarding the buying and selling of caravans). I think its high time something was done in order to protect people from being blatantly ripped off. Red Rebel

Hi Just-ice, Laws need to be introduced to combat the powers these park owners have, in order for this to happen caravan owners who have had the mis-fortune of being sited on a park run by rogues need to complain to the likes of Trading Standards, OFT and there local MP. If enough numbers did this then change might happen. The forming of owners associations within parks is also another effective method of combating unscrupulous park owners. Red Rebel

  8. Steven, happyowner is right my issue was regarding late payment of the annual site fee (due April 1st) and the manner in which they dealt with that issue. The current issues being fought by owners on the park have wider implications. I am just supportive of there actions. Red Rebel

  10. Larry i am afraid to disappoint you but at no point did management say my caravan was to be moved off if not paid by the deadline. Offer of Payment was made 2 days after the deadline (as explained in previous posts) but was refused point blank. Payment was due in April + i had paid a large proportion of the fee which in most cases would count for something. Red Rebel
  11. It doesn't matter how long I had to pay the bill, I informed park management I was going to be a little late......2 days beyond there self inposed deadline to be precise but was removed from the park without warning. Does that sound fair to you? Larry

  15. Yes I would have loved to have paid on time happyowner but you cant give what you havnt got can you. Thanks for the offer but I have my own van thanks. I still have friends on Golden Sands and am fully supportive of there actions.
  16. For the record happyowner I offered to pay the outstanding amount 2 days after the deadline set by the management. I explained this to the park manager on deadline day. At no point did he tell me my caravan was going to be removed from the park. He told me to call on the tuesday 5/5......i had my debit card in hand to pay the outstanding amount only to be told my caravan was in the process of being moved off. We were in shock they didnt even give us the chance to pack our stuff!! Red Rebel

  18. On another point other caravan parks along the north wales coast offer owners the choice of differing lengths of season. Why cant Golden Sands offer the same? Please dont say move to another park, because the only appeal of Golden Sands is its location. Thank you. Red Rebel

  20. Hi superstarjan, I am sorry to here your having such a terrible time on your hols. Of course you have a right to complain but firstly take it up with the staff were you are staying, if they do not resolve your issue satisfactorily then contact there head office customer service (phone number in link below).   23. Why cant people have the choice of an 8 or 12 month season?. Those who want the 12 month pay the extra fee. As it stands those who don't want to use there vans in winter are having to pay for something there not going to use. People want choice! Red Rebel
