  6. HI i want to check something .thing iam wrong here but cant i use the simple spreadsheets frop contractual interest and just change percentage figure to whatever the borrowing rate is so spreadsheets works out the interest at that rate on charges.
  7. hi what spreadsheet did u use to calulate the contrctual interest .did you just change the percenatge rate to whatever yours is
  8. this it as iam aware http://www.zen122856.zen.co.uk/CompoundSheet_v1.9.xls
  9. IAM LOOKING at the thoughout claim contractual interest found on the goggle site..did you use that one to claim contractual interest..also,do you change the 8% interest to whats found on the bank statement 16.9.??you input all charges and the interest and it works it all out for you then .
  10. ? your saying you claimed for charges at court plus 8% then reclaimed again using the advanced spreadsheets for just the interest ..hummm that interesting ..i ve looked at the advacnced spreadsheets of Mindsai's but i dont think it calculates it maybe because iam using microsoft works instead of excel i dont know...
  11. ok thanks .iam sure you can claim overdraft interest thats what i seen in the step by step guide.i know y u dont claim the 8% til court ...
  12. hi .getting confused a little .. when totaling charges ...for preminary letter do include overdraft interest and account fees as well as paid referralss and returned dd
  13. iam claiming form barclays and used a bank interest calculator ... Bank Charge Interest Calculator | MoneySavingExpert: Consumer Revenge, Credit Cards, Shopping, Bank Charges, Cheap Flights and more. i think it works it out at 8% is there a spreadsheet that works out the contactual interest then.
  14. OH WELL THAT s a really shame then isnt it ..so an idea would be to check and see which would result in the best return/claim. but ive checked as a test and both seem to come up with same amount of interest now is that strange or just me
  15. hi i am looking at someof vampiress spreadsheets and have aquestion.. is contractual interest claimble on just the overdraft interest and not other charges when sending first letter requesting charges back... also when filing cliam ,can you claim c on tractual interest on charges plus interest ..and send in one sheet for 8% interest on charges and one for 8% contracual interest on the charges plus interest ...
  16. IS THERE A spreadsheet that caulates this contactual interest
  17. ok so how having worked out the 8% on charges --what figures do you use to add till court date and do u add 8% on overdraft interest charged and included that
  18. ok thanks for that .i understand the 8% interest that you slap on each charge to present day and the rate 0.00022 .done daily on each charge . After that you can claim a further 8% till the hearing so is that 8% on the total amount of charges plus interest (calulated on each charge till present day ) an example 3000 in referal fees interest oon these at 8% which totals say 500 total to claim would be 3500 then a further 8% on this 3500 till hearing so if it was 14 days away that would be interest at daily rate of 0.77 *14days =10.78 3500.00+10.78= 3510.78 also i have seen a 8 calulator on here which works out days since charge and calulates the interest -very neat... but the interest is at 0.0002 and not 0.00022???which throws it out by some pence
  19. HI DO YOU MEAN CHARGES (referal charges came to 3200 and the overdraft interest was 800 or do you mean the interest on the 3200 (8% on charges since occured
  20. humm no sorry ur lost me now ..i dont work out the 8 % interest onthe interst . this rellay p///sing me off . what is the correct way then in plain english please >>>>>>>>>>>>>.
  21. hi i hear a lot about spreadsheets to work out the interest .ive downloaded it but it wont work and dont have excel to load it ..will lotus work with it .. anyways ,am i right in thinking that you claim interst on the referral fees and not the interest .or both. add the interest to this total of charges then add another 8% upto date of hearing . for arguments sake say total fees were 2000 and interest was 500(on these fees)total is 2500 .then 8% on this amount till hearing which would be 2500 *0.00022*15days till hearing =15.40 so total to be cliamed would be 2500+15.40 =2515.40 think iam wrong thought
  22. the interest calulator is i abit off works out 50p less and is 0.0002 not 0.00022.also. date is only upto 2006?????????? is thier an update version ....
  23. so iam as i understand it ..you work out the interest accumulated on each charge from the date incurred to present date -ie refferal and do the same for overdraft interest as well .then add the charges plus calulated interest due and thats what they owe you. when putting in court papers you then add a further 8% onto top of that from date filed to hearing which is about 14 - 28 days (calculated on total figure )
  24. yes i knew that .iam just clarifying that ive understood it rite
  25. the amount of charges totals 1858.10 does that include interest on charges .so what u mean is the daily rate to add upto court date ...0.40*14 days 5.60 plus 1858.10 1863.70
