  1. Hi, thanks in advance for any advice. I just checked my credit file and saw a defaulted account for someone called Hoist Portfolio Holdings for over £900 from 2009 but the default recorded as 2011. I think this is something to do with an account from Jacamo that I got into trouble with and was stung repeatedly from the £12 fees and interest. From reading here I understand I can claim back these fees which would make it easier to clear the amount owed. The thing is I have no paperwork and no way of knowing how much the fees etc are. Is there any way of getting this info from somewhere and what are the chances of them removing the default from my account if I pay it off?
  2. Hi thanks for your reply. Other than the information in my first post I don't really have anything else. I don't remember this incident as it's from 16 months ago and I have had no correspondence as it's being sent to an old address. I use the car park maybe three times a year and other than its a co op and it used to be pay and display but apparently it all changed.
  3. Hi all it's been a while since I have used the forum but have always received good advice when I have. I have received a N1 claim form through the door from Northampton County Court with the claimant Civil Enforcement Limited apparently claiming for damages from breach of contract. I will attach the pictures of the letter. I do not remember this incident as it's from over a year ago. It's been sent to an old address which I haven't lived at for some years but as it was a works van then the company will of given them the last address they had for me. Obviously it's the first I have heard of any of this as the person at the old address doesn't generally forward letters on but since they could see it was from a court they did this one! I am adamant I never entered into a contract with these people and wish to submit a defence but need some advice as to how to go about it. Any advice would be much lay appreciated!
  4. If you think about it you will figure it out. Battery goes flat vehicle stops. Connect jump leads from another vehicle get charge in battery. Drive a mile or so home. Not hard is it?? Don't know why I'm explaining it to you you've not offered any constructive advice you just seem to be another internet forum sad act who finds enjoyment being a pedantic Piers Morgan.
  5. I am not sure if you are hinting that I am lying, which is a bit of a s**tty thing to do, or offering advice on my engine. Either way after ten years as a diesel engine mechanic I am quite sure a vehicle can run for a limited time solely on batter power alone. Especially a non electrically fuel injected engine and in the day time when you do not have your headlights etc. Same reason you can still use your electrics with the ignition on but the engine not started.
  6. Brillaint, thanks for your advice. I was going to do this anyway but though if there is any other technicalities I could use in my defence it it wouldn't hurt to know about them.
  7. The post G&M quoted, not in full, does state I had broken down. But thanks anyway! No, but I am sure I can get one as its a friend who repairs and refurbishes them.
  8. I do not think it is fair because my vehicle had broken down, not parked and waiting or loading. If I had a choice of where to break down I would of done it in the vacant parking space about 4 metres ahead of me not on the double yellow lines! I had to get jump leads, get someone to jump start my van and then get home and fit a new alternator. I don't think its fair to give people who have broken down a ticket. What next? People who have been in an accident getting PCNs?
  9. I am not sure! I remember reading on this forum a couple of years ago (when I last had a PCN) that the PCN must have the date of the contravention and the date you have to pay by or something along those lines? I was hoping someone could tell me from the pic I posted if there is any error on the PCN I could appeal for. I was broken down on double yellow lines and went to get jump leads from a mate and came back to a PCN. I was gone less than 2 minutes and didn't even see the parking attendant. I was apparently observed from 1021 to 1021 so from 0-59 seconds. Not really fair in my opinion.
  10. I posted here a couple of years ago regarding a PCN I had recieved and was given some very good advice and showed the council up as they had painted a bay wrong. I got another PCN today and I remember back when I last posted there was some discussion on the validity of PCNs due to the dates on there. I cannot remember exactly what the issue was but I am hoping someone can enlighten me if I post the PCN and tell me if there is any grounds for appeal.
  11. Well I thought I had written a thread regarding this but as its nearly two years ago I could't be sure. Vodafone have disconnected my brothers account in December 2011 and say its because of money owed on my account. My account was cancelled years ago but Vodafone have decided to continue charging me line rental for my account! They are now claiming I owe them £900. I have asked them repeatedly since last year to send us copies of the bills and any information regarding this and we have recieved nothing. They have admitted over the phone there seems to be some sort of mix up but will not seperate the bills from me and my brother so today they have disconnected my brother again! We have had nothing in writing just disconnected and we have to ring up to find out whats going on. It is getting beyond a joke now as you can see its been nearly two years since all this started and they have still not even sent me a letter telling me why they think I owe them £900! Surely they should of : A) Split the accounts as requested years ago. B) Cancelled my account like I asked in writing (still have a copy of this in my emails) C) If they decide I own them money they should at least send me a letter rather than disconnecting my brother. Hopefully Lee is still active and can help.
