  2. I today received a letter from DG solicitors. They apologised and admitted they had not previously written to me. Usual bumpf about HSBC believing it's charges to be fair and being confident in winning if we went to court. However, legal costs, management time yadda yadda yadda exgratia payment offer of £478.04. They claim that they have reduced my claim by £13.37 allowing for a refund they made on the 8th September 2005 and the interest on this. They have not however taken into account the interest that has accrued since january when I made my claim. They have asked me to sign a letter agreeing to keep this confidential as well as agreeing to never take action against HSBC in the future. Thoughts?
  3. Thanks - fingers crossed!
  4. Copy of the letter I have sent
  5. Should I mention in my letter that I have not received any previous correspondance from DG Solicitors and ask them to forward the aforementiond letter(s) along with proofs of posting?
  6. OK - Judgement has been issued. On MCOL I now have the option to issue a warrant. How long should I wait for Aria to make payment as ordered?
  7. I today arrived home to receive a letter from DG Solicitors I have a couple of issues with this : 1. This is the first contact I have received from DG Solicitors 2. I have twice submitted a full breakdown of my claim to HSBC 3. They mention a letter dated the 12th January 2007 yet they then go on to mention they have asked for this information twice. Surely they would have mentioned two letters if they have indeed requested this information twice. 4. I have been informed by the court that unless the defendant files the AQ by the 26th March 2007 the defence stand struck out. Where do I go from here?
  8. OK - action taken against Aria via MCOL is now at the stage where they acknowledged my claim but did not submit a defence. I have now requested a judgement by default. Fingers crossed they pay up!
  9. I am just concerned that the OFT will pass a ruling before this time frame and it will invalidate my claim.
  10. As you bought this less than (either 3 months or 6 months ago - I'm not sure which) they would have to prove that you damaged the motherboard in court. If as you say you did not they won't be able to prove this.
  11. Go to MCOL and make a claim for the full price of the motherboard plus your MCOL costs.
  12. I received a letter from the courts today stating that the defendant had until the 26th to submit their AQ or else it would be struck out. Is this normal? Do they normally wait until the last day possible?
  13. I sent my AQ in two weeks ago but as of yet I have not received anything back. What am I likely to expect from here on in??
  14. Cheers! Do I need to include my schedule of charges at this point?
  15. OK, I had a letter from the courts today stating that my case has been transferred to the local court in Sussex and HSBC are defending every point made. It mentions a fee needs to be paid of £100 if the claim is for more than £1500. Does that mean I don't have to pay any fee at all?
