  3. hi this is Mrs tweenies and i am so annoyed with Halifax today.I rang them this morning at 8:45 am to see it the items had been received and spoke to a lovely lady(not) called can i name names here?sod it i will Tracey Roach who claims she is the manager of the department well if she is she needs to update her customer care and communication skills i asked her if the items were there her reply a blunt no when do you expect to receive them has your paying this agency to do a job her reply don't know again i explained this has left us with no money and we have two small children her reply well you shouldn't have abused your overdraft i then said well on average how long does it usually take for the items to be revived her reply 2 weeks so i then asked why we had been told 2 days,4 days,5 days,a week and now two weeks she said they can't control what an outside agency does and they can't help until the items are recived.I THOUGHT I WOULD TRY AGAIN THIS AFTERNOON TO SEE IF THEY CAME WITH TODAYS POST WHERE UPON RINGING THE LADY WHO TRIED TO CONNECT ME TO THE RIGHT DEPARTMENT SAID THEY WON'T SPEAK TO YOU HAS YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO THEM ALREADY AND THEY DON'T NEED TO SPEAK TO YOU AGAIN HOW CAN WE GET THINGS SORTED WHEN THEY WON'T EVEN SPEAK TO US
  4. Thank you for your advice, we queried why when we had followed what the default asked by paying money in the account by the 19 Oct and acting accordingly, had they withdrew the overdraft. The reason they gave was they saw it has fraudulent use (by using cheques when no money was there). We explained that more than half off what we were over, was their charges. We seriously had no letter stating the overdraft was being withdrawn even though we had a letter saying the review date was the 31st of October 2006, or stating the cheque book and cards needed returning it was an utter shock and then someone knocking at your door. When you only found out 48 hrs previously they needed returning and being charged for the privilege. Can I ask would we be able to add the charge for the collection to our claim when we submit it?
  5. We are in the process of reclaiming charges for the 2nd time we are just about to do money claim on line. However we received a default notice dated 20 Sept saying to pay £936 that we were over our overdraft by the 19 Oct (£558 of it being bank charges) if this happened no further action would be taken. On the 29 Sept my wage was paid in and it took us well under our overdraft my wife tried to take money out but it wouldn't let her. On phoning the bank they said they had withdrew the overdraft and would need the cheque book and cards back this being a Friday she explained that I was at work and it would be Monday before we would get in. She asked why they gave us no notice of the withdrawal of the overdraft and was told they did not have to. She also explained that this left us without any money and we had two young children she was then told once the cheque book and cards were returned they would come to some arrangement. I came home and phoned them myself to query this and was informed that it had been passed to an outside agency who would be coming out to collect the cards and book. I also explained we had no letter or anything requesting them back and this was the first we had heard they said they didn’t have to inform us and we would also be charged for them coming out and that the company would be in touch. Well on the Sunday (2 days later) a knock at the door and there stands a man he said I have been instructed by Halifax to collect these items it was dated 28 Sept so we handed them over and got a receipt. He said that they would return them first thing Monday and it would take two days for Halifax to receive them. We rang Monday saying that the items had been collected but still no arrangement could be made until they actually had the items back. We have ringed every day and still they have no cheque book or cards. we have told them everyday that this has left us with no money and we have 2 small children one being under 1 and they just don't care, one lady even threatened to send another default to my boss Even though we explained it would be breaking data protection act, she said we'll see. So what I really want to know is can the bank actually knowingly leave you with no money when they have been informed that there is children in the household and recall the cards with an agency without any notice. many thanks for any replies in advance

  12. Just another quick update i've just checked moneyclaim on line and the bank acknowledged the claim yesterday (10/05/06) so another step closer to getting my money back.hopefully not too much longer;)
  13. hi,our claim on moneyclaim was made on the 2nd but because of the time(after 10 )it is showing has claim issued on the 3rd and has of yet we have had no response from halifax any idea how long they take to aknowledge the claim
  14. Spoke to the bank this morning offering them an extra 24 hours as a good will gesture with the bank holiday. Helen Rawnsley refused the offer and said that the £646 was a final offer and the extra 24 hours was not needed. Legal action has began through Money claim, details filled in and case file being drawn together ready for court! They should receive their summons in 5 to 6 days. Gladiators ready! Howard do you feel up to it mate because who’s going to give you extra!
  15. We recived a letter on the 28th April offering the £638 from previous phone call (26/4/06) we have let them know through e-mail that whilst we except the offer it would only be on the condition that they either A,Paid in full or B,court action would be persued if the above did not occur my question today is the 7 day deadline is up today if going from the day letter was sent or tommorow if going from day the letter was recived but due to the fact that it is a bank holiday today would it look better if it was to get to court if we gave them an extra 24 hrs? :?
