  2. Hi, Letter received last week dated 17 March stating "sorry you are unhappy with the charges debited to your bank account blah blah" It states the Financial Services Authority allows 8 weeks to investigate & respond to complaints. It also states Halifax will respond fully within 4 weeks. Would it be better to wait ... or send LBA letter ? All advice is much appreciated.. Thanks.. 26th Feb - letter sent. 28th Feb - letter received . Statements to follow. 7th March - Received statements. 8th March - Letter sent requesting full refund. 17th March - Letter received ...sorry your not happy..
  3. Received 6yrs statements yesterday. Charges total £1194.00 Letter sent today requesting £1289.52 inc interest. Now the fun starts 26th Feb - letter sent. 28th Feb - letter received . Statements to follow. 7th March - Received statements. 8th March - Letter sent requesting full refund.
  4. Letter sent late post 26feb requesting 6yrs worth of charges. Letter received today returning £10 payment.Statements to follow. The letter also states :-"You will appreciate that we have to pass on the costs for paid and unpaid items, should you use an unauthorised overdraft. It's only fair to all of our customers that we pass on these costs to the specific account holders affected. The amount of the transaction does not affect the cost we incur so the charge remains constant." In other words, it's okay to be charged £39.00 for a failed DD of £3.98 . This on top of 2 other failed DD's meaning £39.00 * 3 = £117.00 taken from my bank account , when i'm already struggling....MARVELLOUS... I can't wait to see the total charges for previous 6yrs.. 26th Feb - letter sent. 28th Feb - letter received . Statements to follow.
