  1. I ordered them over the phone this morning - I'm sure I can ring my old boss and ask her to refund the charge he he he Is the Data Protection act the same as a SAR - its just that I was reading about how long these statements take to arrive and as I already had most of mine I wanted to get the rest ASAP Brilliant that you got yours so soon - who are you claiming against? - Have you sent them the 14 day letter yet?
  2. anyone heard of Brookdale & Walker Associates??? they sent me a lovely letter this morning that they have been instructed by Pennine Debt recovery to recouop £5819.78 My debt was with hons student loans then Wescott who the eff oare pennine anyone heard of them? Am going to look through student loans threads now and am thinking I should a cca but where should it go -Wescott honours student loans or these new boyo's pennine?
  3. thanks for that - took your advise re the full and final settlement loan - Think I got of lightly enough there lol
  4. thanks for your advise guys have started a thread about the ulster bank will be posting in it from now on see below http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/other-institutions/79927-jackster77-bank-ireland.html am waiting on only 4 statements from them to be received within 5 days will be posting on thread above how I get on
  5. well I'm missing 4 pages of statements I ordered them this morning its going to cost £42.00 but I'll have them in 5 working days - thought I'd take this hit as from memory this was around the worst charging on my account and I don't want to wait 40 days - even better the charges on these statements will more than cover the £42.00 charge Even without it the charges stand at £1023.30 this is after the paltry refunds I got of £192 pwarr and I thought the bank was doing me a big favour then lol
  6. have been readin the bank of Ireland threads with great interest - I happen to have all my bank statements for 2005 annd most of 2006 - and it makes shocking reading - I wasn't going to claim against them because I used to work for them - and at times in the past they have been pretty good about refunding some charges guess I always thought that I was happy to pay 11.50 then 14.50 for a referral fee if it meant the dd wasn't unpaid but sod it am going to have a hoak for the missing statements because this would save me having to wait 40 days feel a bit sheepish though about doing this to my old boss - but then when I thought about it she didn't feel to sheepish bout charging me lol have 365 online - but can onnlt get statements up to a year here - is this the norm? anyway when I calculate the charges I'll kee ye's posted as to how much I'm claiming seems though from reading all these threads that the big 4 will not go down without a fight Its so annoying that there is a severe lack of good news stories against the norn iron banks abbey/mbna - sar sent 29/03/2007
  7. hey folkd have sent of my SAR today can't wait to send the letter demanding they remove my default from Credit file he he he
  8. hey guys I'm in a bit of a dilemma with regards to 2 bank accounts I used to work for a bank and have since left and have been subjected to a large number of bank charges with this bank - sometimes I'd phone the branch that i used to work for (were my account is) and they would refund a token amount of these charges so I was thinking of claiming back all the charges but would this seem unreasonable to the guys in the bank that I used to work in??? Also I had a loan and an account with another bank i got into difficulties and got charges on the account etc - I got a full and final settlement from this bank and they knocked about £1500 of a £5000 debt - debt cleared account closed no record on credit report - should I let sleeping dogs lie here as the bank knocked some cash of my debt
  9. Hey thanks for that I know on the phone that I offered them £950 for a full and final settlement but when their acceptance letter came out It stated that it was a partial settlement- I know I should have rung them and not accepted this - but at the time I had so many creditors and just getting there debts cleared was such a relief so i'm snookered that way but I have had excessive charges on that account so I think I'll do the letter thing requesting statements and take it from there
  10. Hey was wondering if anyone could help me I have a number of student loan and one for which I didn't send the deffermwnt forms back in time for The loan was defaulted (but I don't thinks its on my credit report) and they say I am in arrears of £2500 I got all sorts of threatining letters from them re paying the money back including we will be sending an agent to your door to discuss payment -Fair enough i didn't send in the deferrment form but I'm not at the threshold and object to having to pay them anything Basically I have made an agreement to pay them £30 quid a month - a payment which i never make until the threatining letters start again then I give them £30 quid then nothing for months and so on and so on Basically I would appriciate any advise do I have tp pay this cause I didn't fill in the forms even though i am under the threshold and were to I even begin to sort this mess out:D
  11. HI Folks was wondering if anyone could help me out I got myself into financial diffs a few years ago -and I ended up getting my parent to take out a loan so I could pay of all my creditors - I got full settlements from all the lenders and talked to them re the lowest payment I could make to clear them Everyone was great and I got some money knocked off and cleared the debts All except MBMA/abbey credit card - basically I had a 1000 credit limit and had gone over this and charges kept mounting up and up etc I was paying them 50 quid a month but it wasn't making a dent in it. So I ovffered them 950 to clear the debt (Which was around 1600 with all the inteest added on) They agreed to take it as a settlement but in fact they took it a a partial settlement and its on my credit report as a default with a partial settlement I think this is totally unfair as all other companies took what i paid them as a full and final settlement and I Paid back mbma 950 quid plus years of interest and charges is there any point in pursuing this to get my credit report cleaned up
