Forgot to mention first settlement was GBP1277.00 for the last 6 years and then GBP1628 for the pre 6 year claim.

Started my claim in February against the Halifax and received all the normal replies basically saying no. I had all my bank statements so that was a bonus. After several small offers Halifax agreed to settle out of court with out admitting liability the amount I was claiming for the last six years. My claim went back to 1993. I accepted this amount as part payment but advised I would continue to take them to court for the outstanding amount. Halifax had requested evidence of further loss and this I supplied again (third time!). Court date was set, court bundle delivered to court and Halifax. Meanwhile I sat very nervously reading through relevant case law, OFT, and limitation acts etc etc panicing. Court date was set for 2pm on the 26th June. I received a call from Halifax legal services on the 25th June at 4pm advising that they would settle out of court! They advised that the money would be in my account within 3 working days. I requested the money in my account prior to the court date and time. Halifax advised that they could not do this in time so I advise them that I would go to court. Received a phone call at 12pm on the day of my court case to be advised that the money was in my account. Fantastic!!!!!! I could never had done this without the help, encouragement and support from nicsussex. Thanks
