  1. Hi, Got my new account so my incoming is safe for now,but I am still trying to sort this PPI.as I said the bank has offered to cancel the ppi policy, which must have been illegal for them to give in so easily.Which means I am only repaying the cash loan, which is £257 58pcm.I have therefore paid £2000+ premiums over 3yrs.off a policy that has been cancelled.Should that money be mine.I have not accepted the offer yet but have just had a reminder saying they will close the file in 7 days. Ray
  2. Hi Ian, While watching for new posts today I have been having a good look at my policy docs.Iv'e only had the loan 3yrs.:o I am not quite sure now if I can ask for the cash back.the policy consists of two separate loans one is the cash loan £15,319 the other is payment protection loan £3,282 which is exactly what they are refunding. So apparently it is money they have already lent me. However the letter from the nice lady states that even though the PPI loan is being cancelled the monthly repayments must stay the same as under the T&C's ofthe loan the repayments cannot be reduced, but on the policy the two loans are completely separate with seperate monthly amounts for repayments. At present I pay £313pcm.The policy says the monthly repayment for the cash loan is £257.58pcm and the PPI figure is £55.23 which to my way of thinking is the amount by which my repayments should drop if I accept. 3. OK.Don't know what happened there but I'll try again. As I was saying the nice lady went away to look into my complaint saying it may take a little time, which it did.I worried them a few times but got the bog standard delaying tactics. Then lo and behold!IT arriived in this mornings post.'IT' being a letter from the very nice, polite lady a carefully full admission of guilt. The letter states that she has a statement from Mr.******.who they could not locate for quite a while,it must be a full confession really, anyway the nice lady said that as she was not witness to the proceedings that day she is unable to comment on what was discussed,as a result of which the bank is offering to cancel the PPI and refund my premium in full, wich is a grand total of£3282.65 plus interest to date.Hows about that boys 'n' girls.I am more than happy with this amount,BUT!!the refund is to be credited to the main loan account, the monthly repayments of which will remain the same, with the loan term shortening.A situation which I am far less happy with,in fact a situation that I am not prepared to accept. Any comments appreciated. Ray.
  4. Hieveryone, Not posted for a while,in my last post 19/04/07 I told you I had a phone call from a very nice, polite lady from lloyds. The bank had received my initial letter of complaint, plastered with CAG labels. She had been asked to look into my complaint. It was a bit weird because when I
  5. Hi There, I may be wrong,it's not unknown but surely your employment status is not the issue here.My own policy (which I did not read at the time)stated that I was inelligable for some claims if I had reached the'Statutary Retirement' age of 65.In fact surely it must compound their Illegal misdeeds if they were aware or assumed you were still employed, because they sold you insurance fully knowing you would be unable to claim for most of the benefits, like sickness and loss of earnings. Ray. Hi Ian if you catch this I have had a result with mine,I will go now and post it on my own thread
  6. Help, Am I doing this right. Every time I reply to a post do I have to go back to my hotmail to wait for replies ?

  8. just a little off topic, same bank different problem.I recentley cancelled my D/D on my platinum card.I just couldnt pay it on the due dates,so I missed my last payment, well it's late as yet.I have had letters making all kinds of threats and they say their T&C allows them to take money from my current account to pay it without my permission.Do you know if they can legally do so Ray
  9. Yeah, but I can see the price of bacon going up ray
