  1. Hi - Account 1 (partners account) - sent LBA on 20th March but heard nothing. What's the best way to issue claim now? I've read a bit about MCOL (don't get much time on here with small children and work!) - is this the best route to take to issue a claim? Account 2 (closed account -joint) - we received statements for this account but were missing all of 2005. I sent a data protection non compliance letter on 21st March giving them a further 30 days to comply to our request but have not had anything back. Where do I go from here with this? Appreciate any help! Thanks
  2. Hi - you are at a similar stage to me. I will watch your progress with interest! Good Luck
  3. An update! Partner's Account - sent the prelim letter on 20th March, recorded delivery. Received standard letter today to acknowledge complaint and to say sorry to learn that we feel we have cause to complain! Advised that they expect to complete their enquiries in the next 4 weeks. I am expecting reply by 4th April as I gave them 14 days for a full response to my request for a refund. Joint Account - statements from 2005 never arrived. Sent data protection non compliance letter today, given 30 days to comply.
  4. Thanks Barty! We are claiming from two Lloyds account a joint (closed) one and my partners account. His charges total £432.66 (with interest) which is a relatively small amount (but much needed!) so hopefully they will pay up without too much hassle. I have been through all the statements for the joint account but we are missing all our statements from 2005, perhaps they will turn up later on this week or I will have to chase these up which is a bit of a pain. Will keep you updated!
  5. A couple of questions - can I claim back o/draft interest, o/draft usage and o/draft excess fees? and, once I know how much I want to claim back where do I send the letter to? I have seen so many addresses on here - which is the best one to use? Thanks!
  6. Hi, we didn't receive a reply from lloyds either. I called into our branch and the lady we saw ordered our statements for us there and then. This was on 15th March, we received the statements today. Perhaps it would be worth calling into your branch to find out what's going on?
  7. Statements arrived today - I could hardly open my front door, there were 50 envelopes containing statements! I felt sorry for the postman! We are going to spend tonight going through them - what fun!
  8. Well we received a letter from the Copy Statement Unit today to say they have ordered statements going back to 1st Sept 2001. We should receive these in next 5 days. This is not going to be a full 6 years worth of statements, I don't know why they have used this date but they say in the letter that if we feel we need further statements it will take longer to access this data as it seems that anything prior to this is archived. I don't know if anyone else has come across this?
  9. Thanks - I called into Lloyds today and suprisingly they have no record of our letter! The lady we saw has requested our statements for us today. She said they should be with us in the next few days - we'll see. If not I will use the letter you suggested. Thanks!
  10. We took a letter requesting last 6 years bank statements/charges along with £10 cheque into our branch on 26th Jan '07 but have heard nothing since (cheque has not been cashed) We closed our Lloyds account a year ago. I know you can still claim back from an account that has been closed but do you think this is whay we haven't heard anything yet? and should we have sent out request somewhere else? unfortunately my partner did not get them to sign for the letter so even though we know they received it we haven't got proof of this now. Should we send another request in or send a reminder letter? Please help! Thanks
  11. We have only had this account for a year but had been charged £270.00 in bank charges. Requested copies of bank statements on 26th Jan '07, received bank statements on 26th Feb. Sent letter requesting refund of charges on 27th Feb and received letter this morning offering the full £270.00! I know it is a relatively small amount but I am suprised at how quickly they have dealt with this. Money will be back in our account in next 14 days. Wish I could say we were having as much luck with Lloyds TSB - we sent request for our statements the same day as to the Halifax but have heard nothing at all from them.
