Following my letter to the Halifax, I have received what appears to be a standard letter but it has a strange statement in it "with regard to your request for Manual intervention on your account HSBO plc is uner no statutory obligation to record this information and I am therefore unable to assist further with your request". What does this mean? Am I going to be missing chunks of information? Oh how I despair of this dreadful organisation!

hi, Being i very similar situation to yourself and not to bore you with the details, I have over £80,000 worth of debt and I have agreed through providing upto date income and expenditure forms from £1 per month to a maximum of £13 per month and believe me my individual debts are not small. The main thing is to write to each individual company explaining the change in your financial situation enclosing the upto date income and expenditure form with your letter and chase there receipt- I found enclosing a list of my other creditors total debt and amount offered worked best for me. I do have copies of the blank forms I used if this would help you I could forward you a copy tomorrow? Delisnape

Many thanks Rooster, I think I will be around 93 years old when the debts are paid, so you are right anything off the debt would be most helpful. Just concerned they could turn round and say the debt plan is out of the window because I have demanded my money back. Regards Delisnape

Hi, I am hoping you can give me some advice please! I have been dealing with a debt management company, to try and resolve my current financial situation. And it's working really well I am please say. However, I would really like to claim my bank charges back, and believe you and me it amounts to a few thousand, but can I claim when I have just agreed really small repayments for the debts I have to them? Or can they say no, look at what you owe us? Any help would be appreciated - I am really new to this so please help if can.
