  1. i think ricardo may have a point here.there are examples of people gaining a settlement..partial or otherwise.it`s got to be worth a go..even just to keep the pressure on...any thoughts.....
  2. assuming you have all the relevant financial info and documentation regarding the mortgage/penaltys you simply need to get your preliminary letter drafted up and posted to abbey.after 14 days (assuming you have not had a satifactory response) send off your L.B.A letter(Letter Before Action)...this is then followed by an M.C.O.l (money claim on line)..this is the process which has been pioneered and used by the more knowledgeable people on here.there are template letters on here which you can use after simply putting in your own individual details.these can be found at the beginning of this forum.have a good read through the posts on here for a wealth of advice and information.....my prelim letter is going tomorrow to the woolwich politely requesting £3300 for redeeming my mortgage 4 weeks early. ..!!!!...good luck....
  3. ok ..thanks paddym...sorry..didnt mean to sound cheeky...debs
  4. hello rhianweir..i am also in the process of claiming an erc back from the woolwich..prelim letter going on monday...thanks to paddym for redirecting me here to the correct forum:-)
  5. hello all...im new here and just wanted to introduce my fight to hopefully recover £3300 in redemption penalty charges imposed by the woolwich (a.k.a barkleys) for redeeming my mortgage 4 weeks early:-x ...from a 2year fixed deal. got the prelim letter drafted up and ready to go..does any one know the best address to send this to...im sure they will have a legal dept somewhere...also do you think it best to send it recorded.thanks in advance for any help and advice...i will post regularly to keep all informed of my progress as im sure this will inturn both help and hopefully inspire others...win or lose i will also be donating to this site to help with funding..i`ve been [EDIT] of £3k....i dont mind ten or 20 quid to give these bandits something to think about...its far cheaper than a solicitor!....once again..many thanks to all for the time and effort it must take to keep this site running...graham
