Hi there, bumping this one again as tried another letter to Littlewoods and they have sent the standard bog off letter. Is there anywhere i can go with this? I know i didn't agree to this insurance and don't see why i should have paid it. Any advice would be great thanks

Hi, still having problems with Littlewoods, they keeping upping the amount due every month, then charging me for not paying it! Still can't get any sense out of them in relation to the extra care insurance, and am now completly stuck. Is the 2007 CCA actually enforceable as it isn't the original?

Requested CCA as well. They have one dated 2007 that I signed when they changed my account over, but they don't have one for my original account. Sorry, I should have mentioned all this earlier, but was in such a rage at them!!

I did complain to the FOS about the insurance, but they did say exactly the same as Littlewoods, so I am a bit stuck it seems!

Ok, have two problems with Littlewoods at the moment: Firstly, am trying to claim back £370.00 for insurance which i never agreed to. I have had the standard no chance and you can't complain to the FOS letter so any advice on what to do next would be great! Secondly, I was on an arrangement with NDR to pay £40 monthly since May of this year. I have done this, and then in July Littlewoods took the account back and started charging me £12 each month for being in arrears. How can I be in arrears when i've paid every month?! I've sent a letter to them enclosing copies of all the statements i have from May to October, asking them to refund my charges which now amount to £36. Is there anything else I can do? Sorry if this is a bit rambled, I am absolutely fuming with them!!

Thank you everyone for their responses, I've been ill with cold/flu so haven't been able to reply and haven't been able to go the meeting! Been off work two days and my mum (bless her!) has phoned in for me as i've not been able to talk. Spoke to the office manager today who said "well we've all had this cold, but we've all be able to soldier through apart from chinchilla". Nice dig!! Haven't been able to get out of bed until this afternoon but nevermind!

The only indication I have about what it is for is that apparently I have been making mistakes (i.e. the post situation) and my attitude towards her - I have just been quiet around her as anything I seem to do is wrong!!

Bumping this thread up again as the situation has got worse... Got a nasty memo from the office manager last week when I was away regarding my using postal instead of DX addresses for two letters, which was CC'd to the managing partner. I have now been summonsed to a meeting with them both on Thursday. I'm completely at the end of my tether now and really just want to quit! Did have an interview for another job but unfortunately I came second Any advice would be really appreciated. I'm pretty desperate now!

389shell - I'm not in a union, don't think there is such a thing for legal secretaries is there? Elche - have been here over a year, I will keep a diary of the situation and will see what happens. She's not even speaking to me today so it's a bit of a relief!

That's what I thought to be honest, I know she's a useless manager!! Best thing is probably what I'm already doing, applying for other jobs and getting out of here. Thanks for your help

Thanks for replying. It is an office of 10, but there are a couple of other offices (one of them being head office). Hierarchy is office manager and then managing partner whom she works for so I'm a bit stuck!

Hi, at the end of my tether here and I'm not sure what to do. My office manager seems to have been against me for a few months, picking at everything I do, putting me down workwise and even cristicising me for being ill! Her best friend at work is the receptionist, and she is doing exactly the same! Last straw has come today, with her sending me a rather snotty email about an invoice not being posted to accounts. It wasn't actually me who had dealt with the invoice, yet was told by her that as I was one of the secretaries for the person who asked for the invoice I had to "just deal with it" even though the other secretary was actually in and could have sorted it in seconds! It does seem to me to be a (albeit mild) form of bullying. I have applied for another job and am keeping my fingers crossed. I would like some advice though on how to deal with this situation. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Further to my letters of the 21st May ,3rd June and 20th June (copies enclosed) In my letter of the 21st May, I confirmed to you that I would be accepting the payment offered by yourselves in your letter of the 8th May totaling £895.41 in full and final settlement in this matter. To date I have not received any response from you. If you do not have a response from you within the next 7 days, I will have no alternative but to contact the Financial Services Authority and the Financial Ombudsman to make a complaint against yourselves in relation to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you as a matter of great urgency.
