  1. Hi All, Have been quite busy - so just got round to looking at the statements tonight. It appears that I only have £100 to claim on this one.:-| Anyhow will go ahead and send off letter for repayment of charges and see what the outcome is. Regards, Chrissy
  2. Hi All, Added up all my charges and it came to £644. Sent off the usual letter requesting repayment of said charges on 23.03.07. Have been away on a short break and during this time have received a letter stating that they are reducing my credit limit blah, blah, blah. It also stated my current balance which I noticed was just over £200 less than my previous statement. Have now checked on line and they have refunded £230 under the heading of 'late payment refund'. Needless to say I am confused by this as in the letter I received about reducing my credit limit there was no mention at all of them having refunded any monies. Is there anyone out there that can advise me on what to do now? Many thanks, Chrissy
  3. Hi Enron, Have received my statements etc previously I feel it is Citi just using the usual stalling tactics and generally messing me around. Will sort out the court papers in the next week hopefully. Regards, Chrissy
  4. Hi All, Thanks to everyone for the advice. Will get this one sorted next week. Cheers Tanz for the use of your responses etc. Regards, Chrissy
  5. Hi All Have today received the same letter back for both my claims for C®ap One accounts as follows: Dear Mrs Chrissy, Thank you for writing back to me about my offer to refund £XXX of the fees we've added. I'm sorry to hear that you feel my offer is unacceptable. As i've already explained, we're confident our fees are both fair and legal and I'm disappointed to hear you're considering court action. The OFT haven't told us that we're obliged to refund any fees, and we've offered refunds as a gesture of goodwill. I'm afraid I won't be refunding all of the fees as you've asked. This offer is still open to you. I won't be increasing this, as it is my final offer. I've included another settlement form for you to sign and return if you decide you want to accept this. While you're disputing these fees, it is important that you maintain payments as your account balance consists of transactions that you have made. Failure to do this may result in negative information being recorded on your credit file, which may affect your ability to gain credit in the future. Financial regulations require me to advise you that this is my final response in relation to this matter. However, you now have the option to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service within six months from the date of this letter. Their contact details are in our complaints leaflet, which I included with my last letter. Again, I look forward to receiving your signed settlement form so that we can put this behind us and save the courts valuable time. Yours sincerely Robert Udy Executive Office Manager Any one would think that it was his money!!!!!!!!! Can anyone out there suggest an appropriate response? Regards, Chrissy
  6. Hi Munchkin, Have been really busy recently - don't seem to be enough hours in the day! Received a reply from Mr Clibbens on the 17th going on about 'I understand you that you have contacted us previously blah, blah, blah three to six weeks blah, blah, retrieve from our archives, blah, blah - one I have the information and assessed your request - will be happy to assist you' the usual bo***cks! I need to crack on with this now - is this the same as you received Munchkin? Chrissy
  7. Hi All, At last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally received my statements yesterday, the 27th March!!!! Will calculate how much to reclaim and keep all posted. Chrissy
  8. Hi All, On the 15th March received all my statements from Barclaycard with the following covering letter - Dear Mrs Chrissy Acc No XXXXXXX DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998 - Subject Access Request Further to your recent request for personal information held by Barclaycard; please find enclosed a copy of the card statements you have requested. Statements held prior to May 2004 are stored on microfilm which is a means of storage that does not fall within the definition of 'relevant filing system' under the Data Protection Act 1998 ("the Act") nor within the bounds of what we are obliged to provide in response to your data subject access request as set out on the Information Commissioner's Office website at ICO – Information Commissioner's Office. The information Commissioner has indicated his intention to amend this guidance. It is therefore as a gesture of good will to you, our customer, and in the light of this proposed change that we enclose copies of our pre May 2004 statements as you requested although we take a different view to the Information Commissioner's Office on whether these fall within thedefinition of 'relevant filing system' as set out in the Act. This information we have enclosed relating to this account is all that we hold. Yours sincereley Karen Thompson (Mrs) Barclaycard Customer Services What an extremely long way to say .......'here are your statements!!' Anyway, will now add up all the charges that they have taken from me and move on to the next step. Will keep you all informed. Regards, Chrissy

  10. Hi Swag Bag, Not had chance to do anything with mine as yet but hopefully will process a claim over the next few days. Sorry to hear you're having a tough time at present, good luck. Regards, Chrissy.
  11. Hi munchkin, I have had exactly the same letter today from Mark Clibbens. It just proves how automated this whole system is. Obviously they are hoping that some of us will get fed up with all the delaying tactics etc that they use. Am with you on this one - will be interesting to see the next step they take. Keep in touch. Chrissy
  12. Hi Emmajvassel, Found you on the Barclaycard site!! How long were you waiting for your statements from these charlatans? I am still waiting after sending the SAR back at the beginning of January! Have received various fob off letters etc, but am now getting angry at their responses, especially as they have stopped the use of my card now. Regards, Chrissy 3554
  13. Thanks thailand and Bigmac versus, It is a really good feeling to know that all you guys are out there keeping an eye on everyone. Thanks once again. Chrissy
  14. No apologies required thailand. Am already thinking they are taking the 'p**s' with this. Will have another look at others posts and see if there is anything I can use for a reply. Chrissy
  15. Hi Swag Bag, Have you had a reply as yet? I received one today - check on my site. Appears to be a typical stalling/delaying tactic letter to me. You will probably receive the exact same in a day or so. Regards, Chrissy
