  1. hmmm...so the overdraft interest i,ve added up may be an incorrect figure...how do i work out if it's right or not cos it is over £600? what should i do now...because i've suggested that i'll charge interest on top of my claim in my LBA, will i look a bit daft when it's not included in the court claim. :o ps...you guys are really helpful
  2. hi...the interest is the total interest that has been added to the account at the end of each statement...is this the right way to do it:confused:
  3. hi there...HELP...i have to submit court claim now but have not a clue re:working out interest. i,ve gone to the template but ain't gota clue how to do it or what programme to open it on!? would anybody be kind enough to work out 8% interest for me on £3,352 charges & £654.64 in overdraft interest...a total of £4,006.64. mucho grasias x ps...i need to get this done tonight...or shall i not bother with asking for the 8%?
  4. Hi there...i'm back...deadline of letter before action is tomorrow...v disappointed...should I do court claim on line or actually in my local court (magistrates or crown?!?). any advice gladly accepted.
  5. thanks...i'm gonna type it this very minute and post in the morning...i'll keep you all informed x byeee;-)
  6. thank you all...you really are a helpful bunch! nattie...that would be awesome if your conjecture is right...but as the 14 days are up tomorrow...do i send my lba...or not because they did actually respond already? if not how long do you suggest i wait before sending it x:smile:
  7. thanx for the advice...i have put a few messages on here but when i log back on i can never find my thread...i've got back to this one via my email! i'm a bit confused as my 14 day prelim letter, stating a request for the amount reclaimed, also included a threat of court action if they did not respond...they did respond with a very nice letter saying they were 'considering' my case and will respond asap. so should i send another 14 day letter before actually beginning court action...advice gratefully accepted:confused:
  8. hi thanks for the speedy response...what is lba though...sorry for being dull!
  9. hi all i've posted threads on here before re: reclaiming bank charges from natwest...i can't find my previous ones...am quite rubbish with internet skills! however, thought i'd ask some advice...sent off 14 day prelim letter listing charges and requesting them back (using template letter). natwest responded within a week stating 'we are considering your claim and will respond asap'. tomorrow (monday 12th) is the 14 day deadline...so do i send another letter if no offer of payment arrives or wait because they did actually respond within 14 days? any advice gratefully accepted
  10. hi...i'm just starting to. have added up my boyf's charges over six years...just over £4,000! i'm posting off the prelim letter tomorrow so will let you know how it goes
  11. thanks nattie i'm sending off the prelim letter tomorrow (monday 29th jan) so will keep the forum imformed of the response i get...my fingers are firmly crossed
  12. hi NATTIE...am quite new to this so am still messing about trying to ask questions of particular threads...came across one from you from several months ago re: adgd account...were you advising that charges cannot be reclaimed AT ALL from adgd accounts, or merely the adgd monthly fee...which is fair enough i suppose...any advice welcome because i am just about to submit prelim claim for my boyfriend to the tune of approx £4,000...
  13. hi there...thanx for the advice...i've already had a good look around the site and the process is explained pretty well...i've read the threads relevant to natwest but still cant get to the bottom of whether you can't claim back charges from advantage gold account at all...or just the monthly adgd fee!? i want to establish this before i start the reclaim process...any advice/knowledge on this matter welcome
  14. hi thanx for the swift response...i've been reading some of the threads re: natwest claims and am a bit worried about the information re: advantage gold accounts...does the info mean that charges can not be claimed from this type of account AT ALL...or does it merely mean that you cannot claim back the monthly ADGD fee? i can live with the latter!
  15. hi, your forum's cool... i've just spent my weekend going through my boyfriends 6 years bank statements which were sent quite swiftly from NatWest...charges to the tune of £4,135...pheww! can any one tell me if this swift response is a reflection of Natwests overall response to charge claimants and should i send the reclaim letter to the local branch (as i did for the 6 years statements) or to a head office? any tips welcome...
