Thanks a lot, Donel261 as i said I am down here in West Africa, and if these guys think they are hard men then a week or two with me in Sierra Leone and Liberia would put them right!

Hi I spend most of my time overseas. My wife received a couple of letters from Mackenzie requesting if i lived there, and requesting I contact them. She binned them!. She has just called me and told me I have a letter from Mackenzie saying despite repeated requests for payment by their client my outstanding account in the sum nearly 5k with their clients Cabot still remains outstanding. then there is the usual list of threats, followed by a "gesture of goodwill" their willingness to accept a reduced settlement payment of two thirds if paid immediately. I would state that a) I have never heard of Cabot until now, and I have no knowledge of any outstanding debts for 5 k, which is a hard amount to forget. I do have several balances on credit cards, and my wife recently got a remortgage on the house to do some improvements. I am based in Freetown Sierra Leone, and would not be in a position to shell out 2.5k, even if I did think I owe it. I have not had any contact with Mackenzie apart from these three letters, and of course no contact with Cabot at all. I almost wanted to give them my phone number here just to let them run up the bills calling me , but hav'nt contacted them yet. Does anyone have any comments. Thanks
