  3. Hi all, I would appreciate any help with where to go/how to word my next letter (which I would think would be pre court). Basic background we booked our honeymoon last year with Libra to go to Egypt, I am disabled so as well as repeatedly confirming the honeymoon package was complete, we checked on arrangements for wheelchair etc told everything was fine. When we arrived no wheelchair access had been arranged from the plane, room wasn’t acceptable for the honeymoon package or disability, allot of other extras that we were told were included weren’t. Rep's lied to us repeatedly etc. We have had several letters back and fourth with them saying, that although they hadn’t booked the package the hotel had sorted it for us mid holiday after we complained to the manager and disability access is never guaranteed. So where do I go next and how do I phrase it? Thanks in advance.
  4. We have claimed our charges back and suceeded but the manager of our local branch has unfairly barred us as she doesn't find consider it fair that we got our charges back.
  5. I dropped the letters in at the local barclays bank. Making sure they photocopied date stamped and signed as a reciept. Therefor it was free and we knew they got it. Its also fun to say in a crowded bank when they ask can I help you, "Yes, I like you to copy this letter relating to the unfair bank charges on my account!"
  6. Title says it all. Halifax wouldn't help us when we needed it and sent us to debt collection. However they have charged 2 £25 charges. I'm annoyed with the way we were treated but it would cost more to get it back than it would just to leave it.
  7. Well they have offered just under half £30 under to be exact. So they have been told to stick it. Oh well another 14 days then its off to file. Also they havn't come up with a copy of the letter they supposedly sent earlier.
  8. I would like to say sorry as I can't give 5% of my mortgage charges refund back as it came off my mortgage so I never actualy saw any of the money. It only just put the mortgage back on track after they messed it up. Hopefully Barclays will pay out on our current account claim of £520 then after the £250 OD is cleared you are very welcome to 5% of whats left. Thank you for all the help and support.

Sent my first letter 5th May giving the 14 days to respond had not heard anything so sent the LBA 23rd May, Was speaking to the bank today with regards another complaint on my account (seems to be a few problems lately) and they mentioned the charges so I asked what was happening and why they hadn’t responded. I was informed that under the FSA guidelines they have at least 4 weeks to try and solve my complaint. Is this true? is the 14 days not enough? or is the 14 days given on the LBA in order to apply with the FSA and the 4 week time period? They did tell me that an acknowledgment letter had been written on the 11th but not sent and read the letter over the phone, basically saying they are looking into it but it may take some time to go through statements. Told them I hope they have more luck than me as when I ordered my statement I was sent somebody else’s.
  10. I agree its got to be B. All I want is my money so if they think I'm going without it they are sadly wrong.
  11. Hope thing are moving forward, we are going about things the other way round. Barclays are refunding the Mortgage cahrges this week and they have 10 days left to respond about the charges on the current account.
  12. The set process, but as it's a mortgage I needed to phone up to see if the money had gone back in. They phoned today and if will be all back in by this Friday, so hopefully case closed.
  13. Update no phonecall and no money. I'm sick to death of Barclays.
  14. I think Barclays is putting a gagging order on them. Disney did this with OH when we claimed against them. Ah happy memories of Celebrations hospital florida.
