  1. Please meet your first success story I had a alleged debt dating back to early 90’s written off completely by DWP their error not mine! OP Do not acknowledge the debt, ask that they prove the alleged debt, inform them you are appealing pending receipt of proof of alleged debt and receipt of full SAR from every department you've dealt with going back to before the alleged debt.   2. OK, How long ago are we talking about? Before paying anything to anyone, I would contact Virgin and ask for a complete breakdown of charges, they own the debt so they can either tell you or send it to you. Paying back what you owe, no problem but paying inflated charges then yes, so get full clarification on what is owed not just a bulk figure. Until then, do not part with any money. Ignore the idle threats from Advantis, they cannot do nothing to you because they are only collecting on behalf of, so therefore they have no powers. Stigman

  3. Hi Sandy, hope you are feeling a bit less angry now as the morning moves on. I also hope it's not too long before you get that perfect move nearer to your daughter. You will be a big part in their lives sooner than you realise:-D I'm sure there could be peeps helping on the site who may have ideas which could help you achieve your move. Please tell us if you or BC have started a thread in another forum regarding this, or if you start here with the hurdles you are experiencing with this move. I'm hoping it doesn't all rely on an exchange taking place.
