  1. A friend has received (no really is a friend ) an indication from Financial Ins Company that they will pay his claim for PPI but the amount is incorrect he has all his statements and they have asked him to supply copies and they will recalculate as it is from before he will only get simple interest per annum. How do we calculate this ? Is it from the first year or from when the amount is closed ? Thank you
  2. Sorry if this has bben asked before, I will cut the Question short... Credit card with HFC (Marbles) taken Out 2002, Asked for it back... they said they aint required to save records after 6 years (6 year ruel) I had the card for about 2 years Balance was around £4000, ppi 77p per £100 The off is just £244, with no break down of how they come to that??? I want to reply to ask for a detailed break down as Yorkshire bank gave me (so many months of PPI and the 8% interest) Question is What should I do next because I know I paid alot more than just £244 has I used the credit card for a balance transfer. Hoping to win with your advice! Gman41.
  3. Two questions. 1. If I am half of a joint account and I enter into legal proceedings (in this instance challenging the level of charges - not the bank's right to raise charges) and lose, then if I'm not worth a 'carrot' (name not on any deeds and no earnings to attach) can 'they' go after the other named person on the account, for costs? 2. When claiming back cr.card charges I always quote "It was held in earlier actions (and I can provide examples if required) that a contractual party can only recover damages for an actual loss or liquidated losses. It is clear that your charges do not reflect any actual and or real loss." and I believe this is included in UTCCR. If this IS the law of this land then is it not 'deployable' when claiming back bank charges? After all, we're not challenging the banks right to charge - merely the level at which they do so. One also wonders whether BCOBs could be used in unison. Thoughts please.
