  1. Hi. I just have a question regarding ESA. My husband had spinal surgery in October and has been on ESA since the end of September. He has received a letter saying he has to attend a medical on the 13th February but thats the day he is due back to work and all being well he will go back that day. Do I ring and tell them that he is back to work that day and they should cancel the appointment for the medical? Many Thanks
  2. Hi all, I have been issued with a parking ticket at the crown point car park Leeds owned by Excel Parking. I have already appealed to excel parking and, of course, it was rejected. Having read many forums I understand the next step it to appeal to POPLA. I would like to ask for some advice on what I need to include in the letter? I am an owner of a parking permit for the excel car park, as I work at TK MAXX on crown point, and had this permit displayed in the window when my ticket was issued. I was issued the ticket because I left the complex to nip into town before starting work. I had no idea that I was not allowed to leave the complex while parking there and was horrified to find a parking ticket on my car especially having displayed my permit! I emailed excel expecting my appeal to be accepted as I work at crown point. I'm concerned about what could happen in if my appeal to POPLA is rejected. Should I include that there has been no losses to the car park as it is not a pay and display car park and indicate the signage stating that you cannot leave the complex is inadequate? I don't want this appeal to be taken to court or receive debt collector threats and cannot find information if excel parking do this... someone please explain and help put my mind to rest! Thanks!!
  3. ........... of having a fixed term monthly contract with Orange, if they just put their prices up mid-contract when they feel like it !!! They did this in January 2012 as well. If I want to cancel because of this, they say on their letter that I can but I'll " ...... need to pay them any cancellation charges that apply." Arrggghhhh !!
  4. Hello I'm Marc - These are my very first words on this forum! I need some advice about taking a used car dealer to court. Can somebody please point me in the right direction? Many thanks
  5. Hi as with others i have read on this forum i too have been victim to the payday loan cycle the story is quite loan but to cut it short i originally was balancing three payday loan companies (Wonga, PDUK, Lending stream) i had to borrow a substantial sum of money from my uncle to pay them off and I'm paying him back £100 per month and now an unexpected bill left me with no choice but to borrow from Wonga again, my debt is now at £1330 which is total loan including interest and charges which is due at the end of this month, my wages are only £1000 and i don't know what to do, i want to arrange a payment plan but I'm afraid to call or email them for fear that they will send letter after letter as i don't want my family to realize the debt i borrowed, i realize it was ridiculous to get in this position, but can i deal with Wonga purely through email? so they don't send me letters and can anyone please advise me what to do? I also have a loan with PDUK that i have defered every month by paying the interest and a little bit of the loan each month but its going nowhere would they accept a payment plan too, i have around £300 spare income i thought perhaps they would accept £50 each per month is this unrealistic? sorry about the frantic nature of the post but I'm worried about what to do next. The success stories i've read gives me hope that there is a solution. Any Help would Be ubelievably Appreciated
  6. Hi folks, My partner and I both disabled, with lifelong critical medical conditions (not in dispute). Partner claims for ESA for himself and me as his dependent. ATOS give partner 6 points for movement and 0 for mental health or anything. Im going to appeal there decision today, and ask to go back to Assessment stage while appeal takes place. Does anyone know what rate we will get? Do disabled premiums get paid as well during this period. Any help, including how to start an appeal greatfully appreciated. JV
  7. Hi all, This is probably a long shot but I remember reading a post about a standard rejection letter from Store Card PPi claim that some kind person had gone through and highlighted why the companys reasons for refusal were invalid. Just hoping someone could point me in the right direction as I need to try to refute my own rejections. Hope this makes sense to someone. Thanks.
  8. Thanks Martin for the links, since this news broke I've been wondering how this has affected me as I have a Libor linked secured loan. The grauniad article helps to answering this. So on balance it probably didn't affect home owners much. Another BBC article suggests that while Barclays were trying to manipulate Libor, they weren't very good at it, and at most only managed to massage it a few basis points each way.
