    WTC Enquiry

Hi all, I am really anxious and upset as I have just got a letter saying we have been selected for a review of our WTC, I have done nothing wrong, everything we have ever filled in has been honest but I just feel under so much stress. I did only loose my mum less than 3 weeks ago, so my emotions are all over the place anyway, we have 3 children, one of which at age 8 has been newly diagnosed with Crohnes and has still not got it under control (No DLA though- another story). I am trying to compile every thing to send, and I understand that it maybe that we are being investigated as we earn so little (both my hubby and me self employed) that it is not possible to feed and live with the 3 kids on our earnings- and thats true, we have been cashing our premium bonds and doing all we can to keep afloat. We both earn less than minimum wage as we set up our businesses in the last 2 years and both have had to purchase equipment and stock, as we intend to make this work and use the skills sets we have as it was hard to find employed work. We both work from home, hubby as a jeweller and me as a face and body artist, and I run a small webshop selling supplies. We both work in excess of 30 hours a week (actually me 30-35, hubby sometimes over 40), I do sometimes also help my husband with admin, but I have never felt that was important to declare, he does not employ or "pay" me in any way. I am worried about how to show my hours, my time is spent dealing with customer phone calls, painting at kids parties, dispatching and packing small orders, stocktaking and ordering, maintaining my website and training...these are all things that need to be done to run the site and customer base, and keep me busy but I get the impression they may not understand how much maintenance a webshop needs and also how time consuming these things are. As we are relatively newly set uo too there has had to be an initial investment in stock for me and machinery for my husband. I will compile all I can but i am just worried by it all as we are already going without our basic needs to get my sons train ticket to get him to school as he does not qualify for transport help, and if we lost our wtc we would potentially not be able to afford our mortgage. There is so little work available near us and we have done all we can since my husband was made redundant to be good role models to our children and do something to improve our situation, the stress of all this is wearing really hard on me and I am having anxiety attacks. We need to provide details from April 6th to Aug 31st, and so of course we are, I just wondered if I am missing anything or anything else I can do, I really need to deal as quickly as I can with this in order to not get much to stressed. Thank you for any help and advice.
