  1. Hi i'm just about to submit my claim (2nd time around!) to my local court, can I just check, do certain local courts refuse to register new claims because of the OFT case? My last claim was via the net.

    Thanks again

  2. I've had what seems to be a bog standard letter basically stating about their legal issues with FSA and OFT la la la! I'm in a position to submit my claim to court but just to check.......from Mr Lex's earlier thread dated 5.10.08.....I submitted my previous claim via MCOL, should I now submit it via the local court?

  3. Hi all, after a period of 18 months, i'm back claiming again! I've already received a settlement from HSBC, do I need to go through the process from scratch or can I just sent my excel spreadsheet with charges and interest straight to the court procedure?:-) Many thanks

  4. Hi Chewy......HSBC credited my account even though I asked for a cheque. I think that's the norm. Check your account over the next couple of days. I've just opened another bank account because I've another claim to submit! Congrats too!;)

  5. Hi All

Finally got my dosh!! HSBC credited my bank account day before the AQ was due! Hurrahhh!!! :D With the AQ application looming plus some devasting news about a family member, times were tough! I would like to thank everyone who's helped me through this, it was invaluable advice plus gave me the confidence to see this through, well worth the hard work! Going to make my donation now;) . Will be keeping tabs on other claims with interest. Got another claim to make against HSBC, watch this space!!

  6. Hi Shorty

I'm at the same stage as yourself, my AQ is due on the 7th Jan, however I've had an offer from DG which I've accepted and awaiting my well earned dosh! I'm going to leave it till Thurs to see what happens before I submit the AQ. Left message with DG this morning to see what's happening and awaiting a response  ! The end is nigh!!!!

  7. First time to log on for nearly a fortnight, managed to find an internet caff! Been having huge problems with my internet provider beginning with the word A!!! Had massive row with them this morning, need to find another one! Anyway, let off steam now..............my current position is - had offer from DG just before Xmas which I've accepted last week, sent my response to DG recorded delivery. Nothing in the post this morning, my AQ is due on the 7th Jan, will hang on till Thurs to submit. Left message with DG to contact me this morning with a view of finding out how long will it be before I get my well earned dosh!! Still awaiting a response. :| The end of the tunnel is nearly there?!!!

  8. Yes its the Allocation Questionnaire. I've just printed off the bumff on it in readiness! Seems pretty straight forward however after ringing DG today re: copy of my charges, I was informed that I will be hearing from the bank in about 7-10 days!:|

  9. Hi Sarah

I'm at a similar stage.......HSBC have submitted their defence via my MCOL yesterday. Just been on the phone to DG solicitors to check that they've got a schedule of my charges and they told me that I will be hearing from the bank in the next 7-10 days, pity Chrimbo is in the middle!!! (I love Chrimbo though!!) I'm just sitting tight and see what happens. I've printed off the AQ stuff in readiness!

  10. Don't worry flunky, I'm just ahead of you......they've entered their defence yesterday via my MCOL! I've just rang DG Solicitors to check they've got my charges and the guy stated that they're in-undated with claims and I will hear from them in the next 7-10 days! Bearing in Chrimbo is in the middle!!!:|

  11. Just seen a post from Michael Browne - I gather the offer I got from HSBC possibly pre-dates my County Court claim ?

I guess I should write write back to them with the following (even though the 7-10 days has expired) ?

Thank you for your letter dated xx/xx/xx. Prior to receipt of your letter I have filed a claim in the County Court and have therefore incurred further costs. I respectfully decline your offer of settlement and request, once again, that you return to me all charges imposed on this account, interest and court fees now totalling £xxxx I will accept the sum offered only as part settlement and on the clear understanding that I will pursue recovery of the remainder. I will be willing to withdraw my claim upon receipt of unconditional full settlement of my claim. I trust this clarifies my position.

I didn't realise how tense this would all be.

    Good fun though :)

Hi Stubbsy - I had exactly the same from Colin Langdale and I've returned a letter only accepting as a partial settlement. I have not received a response from him and HSBC have filed their defence yesterday via MCOL. So I'm now waiting for the AQ!:|

  12. Having looked at peoples threads/posts, i cant notice any pattern for how hsbc are actioning claims. Am I missing something? Just trying to get an idea of any "routine" they seem to adopting, so that I know what i can expect. Though from what I have seen there doesnt seem to be any pattern.

Hi Marc - I've done a lot of research on other threads in relation to any patterns and they don't appear to be consistent at all. So take it as it comes and just research other threads that may be on the same wave length as yours?;)

  13. Hi Livelylad......just thinking! I sent a copy of my charges to the court on the 17.11.06 and another copy to Debs on the 28.11.06. I rang her and got through to her colleague on the 12.12.06 to ask her to check if they got my copies and she would check and come back to me....still waiting! I've tried to ring again the Debs is away until the 3rd Jan! I've left another message for her colleague to ring me. Do you think I should send yet another copy of the charges?
