Hi ComebackJimmy - when Barclays and Starling did an NCA check on your accounts and froze them - how long did it take before you got your money back?
Were you asked to close your accounts and did this impact your credit score?

Hi,
Thank you so much for your reply, it is ever much appreciated. It has been over a week now and still no access to funds or any news.
the funny thing is, they have added interest of on my life savings, so now my savings account reads "-£499,964.13" as opposed to -£500,000.00
Called the bank yesterday just to see if I could hurry it along, they could give me no answers but the fact that complaints will get back to me soon.
Absolutely aghast. I do have other banks, but it was my life savings that were tied up in this and I needed access to the money last week for a house deposit.
I agree with you - and all I can do is wait I guess. I hope I do not get a fraud marker (my biggest worry) , and did you have to prove any cash deposits in terms of proof of income?
Many Thanks,

Hi ComebackJimmy
It has been over 3 weeks now, still waiting (15 working days). The complaints called me and said they could not tell me anything until the investigation has completed - STILL.
Is there anything I can do in the meantime? I am so stressed about this, should I try writing to the NCA?
Barclays have not sent any letters to my residential address, and I confirmed this with the complaints team. I am hoping I do not have to prove funds as this just seems like it would take a million times longer for me to get my life savings back
The financial ombudsman will take far too long to get any action from.
Is there anything I can do?
