  1. Tawneyowl based on your experience - do the PDL companies usually agree to the complaint before you have to go to the financial ombusdman?

Im hopeful- I had 10 loans with my jar over a year and still have one of them in a repayment paln. I have just sent 10 letters off- fingers crossed.

Do you think I would be successful if I did this with a high interest usecured loan I had from every day loans- It wasnt a payday loan but I had a loan of £1200 and I have to repay £3000 of which I am still paying back. I have always had terrible credit rating fro unsecured loans and PDLs.

Hope my luck is in at last.:-)

  2. Hello

My son is currently 17 and left school this time last year, he hated school and also didnt want to go to college.

my advice would be to register with the college as if your daughter is going to start because then she will be registered as a student at an institution. my son did this but never attended. I know I sound like a bad mother and many parents would disagree but after watching my son vomit each morning before school for years because he hated it -I just wanted to take the pressure off him.

The government wants kids to stay on in education until the June after ther 17th birthday so she will not be able to claim any benefits.

My son also suffers from anxiety and could not be in a class room. he has basically been at home for a year- the college contacted us for a couple of months regarding attendance then it all wore off and no one hassled us (which just increases the anxiety)

He has matured over this year and gained confidence without peer pressure-he has just got a full time job -which I could never have imagined ( although low paid) but the main thing is he is happy.

Good luck - dont be pressured by the officials -education is not for everyone nd you know your daughter best

Uncle buck emailed me in the middle of March with those bank details to make payments.

My evidence of paying them is my bank statements and the email they sent me with the bank details on if they say they never got it.

They sent me an email and the following info was at the bottom of it.

I am having the same problem with UB. I have not yet filled in the I and E form they sent me.

I have offered £50 a month and they wont set up a repayment plan until I send the form back. I defaulted on the 28th February on a loan of £550 + Interest was about £742 in total. At the end of February I paid them £50 and since then I have them £5 - they said my balance is now £956 which I will definitely not be paying.

I am keeping a record and have taken the £55 I already paid off my balance of £742.

I emailed them telling them that there is no legal obligation for me to complete the form and that I wont be doing it and they keep saying they cant set up a repayment plan without it and inflating my balance.

UB are very stubborn and unwilling to help. I cancelled the CPA with my bank- Barclays and they have confirmed it cancelled in writing.

If you want to make small payments to them , here is their bank account and sort code - In my opinion I wouldn't bother paying £40 a month just yet while they are continuing to increase the balance- just make token payments until they co-operate :

Uncle buck details- pay by standing order ONLY

    sort code- 20-77-67

    account- 13603539

and use your loan number as a reference

    good luck

  5. My son attended the speed awareness course today. He was given a booklet to complete throughout the four hour session. There were two speakers that spoke about stopping distances and speed limits. He said he had to have discussions with the people on his table about how they would respond to given scenarios.

There was a little interesting information but mainly boring anyway it saved him getting 3 points.the course cost £97

    Thankfully it's all over now.

Thanks for all your responses which were very useful when entering the unknown.

  6. Just an update,

My son got three offers and has to choose only one they are:

    1. 3 points and £100 fine

    2. speed awareness course which will cost between £70 and £100 and must be booked within 28 days of letter. - no points -it says the course is approx. 4 hours long

    3. a court appearance

    He is choosing number 2!!

Thanks for your help everyone on cag x x x

  7. hello eveyone

    Can you help??

I have received a NIP as I am registered keeper. My 22 year old son was driving which I have declared and sent the form back within two days of receiving it.

My son is a named driver on the car and the car is fully legal.

My worry is that in July 2010 my son had an 18 month ban and fine for drink driving. this has now all passed and he has been a responsible driver since getting his licence back in 2012. He attended the drink driving course and learnt from his immature mistakes.

. When they issue the punishment for this speeding offence will the DR10 have an impact on their decision?

    Thanks a lot

  8. Im no expert but I think you have taken the first step by complaining in writing.

Now it's all about gathering evidence of the disturbances.

can you film the parties they have discreetly and the drug evidence ?

Record the sexual acvtivity and verbal abuse. There has to be evidence of the anti social behaviour not just complaints.

Sorry, I only think this as I watched neighbours from hell on Tv and after a trail of evidence - which takes a while -the tenants were evicted.

A lady filmed them through her net curtain walking on her car, throwing beer cans into her garden.

lighting a firework and throwing onto her land.

These people are another level they think in a different way. avoid them whenever possible- and gather evidence

    good luck

  9. This is so weird and unbelievable.

I have a magnetic tax disc hiolder on my windscreen and if it is a sunny day, it often falls off onto the dashboard. As I was driving today, the tax disc holder fell and I saw the paper valid tax disc fall on the floor by the passenger seat.

When I got home I opened the passenger door to get a bag off the seat and I didnt pick the disc up. Later I went back out and thought I must put the disc back and now I cant find it in my car. I have looked under all the seats and wondered if it could have blown out when I opened the passenger door the first time even though I dont think it was that windy today.

I am baffled, I have been out to my car four more times to look for it and no luck.

Can I still drive as my car is taxed until July 2013 and I will be sending off for a duplicate tax disc first thing tomorrow morning.

    Thanks

  10. The same thing happened to me. Bt kept sending me a bill after I went with virgin and I have just ignored it. They referred it to a dca and I ignored them as well they sent me a coupe of letters and a couple of phone calls =- I asked the dca to justify the billand they couldnt.

I have been with virgin now for about six months and I am not paying it. BT ripped me off for years with extortionate bills and I am not a big phone user.

I havent heard from BT or the dca for the past month and im not contacting either of them as I refuse to waste the cost of a call on them.

My bills are so much cheaper with virgin.

    Good luck
