  1. I think you need to think how many times you have done this before. You are going to need to admit to multiple fraudulent acts, and apologise for them. I suspect they won't be too impressed if you try and claim this is your first time, especially as Oyster usage data is retained for years! A rail company normally settles for around £100-£200 for a SINGLE offence, I suspect to settle NINE offences, you're looking at a 4 figure sum.

  2. https://www.gov.uk/support-for-mortgage-interest This is a link for the information about your mortgage help. Do either of you receive Income Based benefit or will you become entitled later in the claim if your husband is not successful finding employment. Do you have any insurance on your mortgage for redundancy, unemployment? An alternative is for you to see if you can add your husband on to your Incapacity claim ? Do you currently receive any PIP or DLA, if you do then if it is Middle or Higher Care or any rate of Daily Living for PIP your husband could claim Carers Allowance. If your husband is attending the courses information sessions then he can reclaim any travel costs incurred (petrol or public transport costs are ok but the cost of a taxi has to be agreed in advance) Speak to your mortgage lender and ask about payment holidays or reduced payments, the sooner you speak to them to sort out payments the more they can consider helping.
