  1. Although I think I read somewhere that due to the backlog with PIP, they may have put a hold on migrations, maybe Estellyn knows better

  2. She should chase up the PC application by calling 0800 99 1234 They will send out an MI12 form as part of the PC application, which gets filled out by the claimant then sent to the mortgage lender before going back the the DWP. This in itself can take 4 weeks. As the person who is named on the mortgage will be the partner on the Pension Credit claim, then that will not be a problem. If awarded PC, they will get up to £69.81 per week towards the mortgage interest (paid every 4 weeks to the lender) If this is not the original mortgage, ie if they have remortgaged, then the DWP will ask for more info. Also, if they haven't done already, they should inform the mortgage company about the situation. Hope this helps.

  3. Hi Crossword Welcome to The Consumer Action Group. I am just letting you know that as you haven't had any replies to your post yet, it might be better if you post your message again in an appropriate sub-forum. You will get lots of help there. Also take some time to read around the forum and get used to the layout. It is a big forum and takes a lot of getting used to. Once you start to find your way, you will soon realise that it is fairly easy to get round and to get the help you need. It can be bit confusing at first.

  4. Dont phone them. Tell them that any communication or validation can and will be done in writing only. This sounds to be like it could be a new trick theyre trying to pull.

  6. Holiday only becomes owing in this situation upon your return to work (in which case you are entitled to the holiday itself) or upon termination of employment (where you are entitled to pay in lieu). The only way you can secure pay whilst still on sick leave is by way of a relevant agreement with your employer. Arguably this is limited to a carryover period of 15 months prior to the last leave year - so up to 27 months in total. I suspect the reason you cannot find a definitive answer is that this remains a fast changing and uncertain area of law.
