  1. I would be inclined myself to confess (I am rubbish at keeping secrets) but do so with the dates of miscarriage to hand, and an offer of making financial recompense. That is because I would be unable to sleep - I am a real worrier - and would want it over with. My blood pressure could not cope otherwise! Depending on how mitigating your illness is seen as, I'd expect a final written warning or a demotion at best - they may also need to take guidance from your authorising body to see if you can continue to sell regulated products. (Assuming it was regulated.)

  3. You must issue a full complaint to the OFT as they are accusing you of a criminal activity. DO NOT BACK DOWN and make sure you stand your ground. Also file a complaint with the FOS. Speed credit have been doing this a lot lately, mainly because they are in the last 2 weeks of an appeal before they lose their license. This action from them, as long as you report it, could be the trigger that makes their company finally dissolve. Don't communicate with them any more. If you feel you have to, simply write: " thank you for the contents of your recent email/letter to me dated xx/xx/xxxx the contents of which are now noted.
