Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982

http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1982/29 Most of the provisions relating to consumer contracts have now been replaced by the Consumer Rights Act.

However, non-consumer contracts – business to business contracts are still subject to this legislation.

This was the principle legislation which provided for standards in the provision of Goods and services.

Sale of Goods contracts between a trader and a consumer - normally go to the Consumer Rights Act. Where a provider supplies both the service and also the installation - such as a central heating unit, car repair etc - then the Consumer Rights Act also applies between a trader and a consumer.

For contracts between businesses, then this Act, The Supply of Goods and Services Act probably applies
